{SERVICE PRESSE} Hello les bookineurs, Je reviens vers vous avec une nouvelle lecture terminée: La quinte geste écrit par @estelletolliac publié chez @forgottentdreams. Je remercie Estelle et Forgotten Dream pour le SP. Je suis ravie de l'avoir découvert avant sa sortie et de pouvoir vous en parler. Je vais vous replacer un peu cette lecture dans son contexte: elle s'inscrit dans le même univers que Noir de Lune et Bleue de Lune d'Estelle Tolliac, que je vous ai déjà présenté en 2021. Quel plaisir pour moi de retrouver la plume d'Estelle Tolliac. Ce récit se passe bien avant Noir de Lune et Bleu de Lune. Aigle commence dans ce livre par une posture fâcheuse et fait la rencontre d'Ysèle. En échappant dans leurs prisons, ils se rendent compte que les Antharites commencent une conquête des territoires. Ils sont également à la recherche d'une femme aux cheveux blancs et d'un nourrisson. À ce stade du récit, on commence déjà à se poser pas mal de questions. Ce dernier s'interrompt pour amorcer un autre aspect de l'histoire. Ce découpage de l'histoire est très stratégique. On passe par plusieurs récits pour qu'au final ces derniers se rejoignent. Cela allège le récit et permet de nous donner des informations par aspect du récit et sans nous submerger. J'ai beaucoup aimé cela. J'ai également adoré découvrir ses nouveaux personnages. Bien que j'ai eu quelques suspicions concernant l'identité du nourrisson, j'ai été ravie de lire que j'avais eu raison. Ce tome apporte pas mal d'informations qui ajoutent un plus par rapport à la première saga. Il y a eu une révélation que je n'ai pas vu venir. Elle concerne un personnage que j'ai beaucoup aimé dans Noir de Lune/Bleu de Lune. Je ne dirais d'elle qu'elle a une couleur de cheveux particulière. Je vous laisse découvrir cela. Je terminerais par la plume d'Estelle Tolliac qui reste toujours aussi agréable à lire, stylée, et soignée. La suite en commentaire

I guess I’m not ready to share this dream to the (my) world yet ✨ Let me tell you a story. All throughout med school, I was sure that I’ll go straight to Pediatrics once I passed the boards. During my interview for residency, I shared that I wanted to witness kids grow up & transition into adulthood (some even to motherhood d/t teenage pregnancy). I never thought I’ll be accepted to my dream hospital & no matter how dragging the days were… whenever I’m with my patients, it doesn’t feel like I’m working. The burning desire for the Filipino children just naturally comes out every duty. However, as the first doctor in the family, I became the point person in every health concern from womb to tomb. Hence, the desire shifted from kids to families. I had to let go of Pediatrics & carefully wandered away what the Lord really wanted for me. I ventured from hospital/clinic duties to medical comms. It’s another world in the medical field that I have just known. I’m enjoying my time & grateful for the work-life balance I never thought is possible. And while it silenced the noise around, it magnified the forgotten cries of my heart… to train & become a doctor in a country not of our own. So even when it’s scary to take the risk & journey through this dream… I’m getting out of my bed this time almost around midnight to pick up my reviewers & believe for a miracle. #studygram #studygramph #studygramphilippines #dream #forgottendream #hope #everydaymiracles

When was the last time you allowed yourself to be bored? To be quiet enough to hear the whispers of your truest desires? Dare to turn off the TV, silence the phone, and even refrain from reading, crafting, or talking for awhile. Wander around the house or the yard. As I decluttered my wardrobe and ditched literally 75% of the shit I’d accumulated in there, little did I know that it would be the catalyst for getting to this point. • I realised that I had been consuming, spending and buying things a distraction to not living to my true self or reaching my full potential.
