Nineteen years ago, tomorrow, June 2, we buried my dad on his 51st birthday. This time of year is when I always carry a little more sadness in my heart. Tomorrow, he would be 70 years old. That’s wild to think about my dad being 70! Most of you know him, and my mom had turned 16 when I was born, so my parents were always so young to me. We grew up together. I have little Palmer today, and I made pancakes for breakfast. Anybody around my dad knows there are two things he didn’t go far without, well, maybe three if you include the Harley. The other two things are Skippy peanut butter and Oreos. If you ate pancakes or french toast at our house, you had better be prepared to eat peanut butter on them. So, of course, Palmer had to have peanut butter on his pancake. If you had the privilege of eating peanut butter on your pancakes or French toast at our house, share a memory below.
