(We are still yet to harvest any fruit from the mulberry, but it makes an excellent 'cubby house' tree for the kids to play in/under/around. Have you noticed these stunning burgundy red ash trees through the Adelaide Hills lately? They are also planted throughout the city and parklands. They are Claret Ash โRaywoodโ. Originally discovered in South Australia in 1910 in the Mount Lofty Ranges and then grown on the nearby Raywood property. They are a stunning large deciduous feature tree that can reach 15m high at maturity. Dark green leaves in spring and summer turning burgundy โclaretโ colour in autumn.
