"Andromeda/Singularity" Inspired by a dream wherein teleportation took into existence and wherein time stood still, the vitality of contrast and tints of the cooler spectrum represent consciousness and the feeling of an empty clock. It is based on a captured image of a black hole, which has only appeared twice within a dream. There were gargantuan domes of worlds, seemingly parallel as one lead to another. Time had stopped, and the living figures had frozen themselves in place. Walking forward with control of the clock. I had initially named this piece "Andromeda," but I am feeling the need for a change due to the greater meaning I had wished to portray. The name "Andromeda" translates to "being mindful of man," and although mankind stood still, singularity is the place where time stops and space ceases to make sense. Update: I decided to keep both names for the now. Both are appropriate for the piece and may be used interchangeably. I may be revisiting this one as it doesn't meet my own expectations yet, the real world has been a priority. Since decent printers and printing services are extremely expensive in Turkey and I would actually lose money if I tried to sell prints, I will only be selling originals. Yesterday’s daily square. Recently I have been really struggling by creatively, but not in the usual way. Usually when I lack inspiration I feel unmotivated and uncreative, but for some reason this time I feel quite different. I’m currently incredibly driven to make - I feel so creative and all I can think about is art, but I have no ideas. I have themes and concepts, but the actual ideas aren’t coming. "Living with Anxiety" This represents my anxiety. I struggle with "what if?" thoughts all the time. I get overwhelmed with the thoughts and it causes me to panic and shut down. They do not usually come in singular form, but rather in multiple. References are important in this part of the process when searching for accuracy of proportion and values. This aids in translating the vision better. When what we look for is not found in something that already exists, we may take it into our own hands and create our own references. We may take photographs or sculpt the visual ourselves. A decision is then made for which execution reflects an idea the best. This is integral because one lays out the foundation and composition for the remaining process to complete. We are looking at how to best create an idea or concept into reality.
