Once taken in by her caring fosters they found her to be very affectionate and playful. Missy loves to cuddle and give kisses, rolling onto her back for belly rubs. She gets super excited and happy playing with her toys and especially enjoys a game of tug-o-war. She appreciates a good walk and going on car rides. When Shonda first came to us she was not good with other dogs. Slowly she started to feel more comfortable with them. She spent some time at Brass City Rescue Alliance and made a best friend Leroy. Over time the kennel environment became tooo stressful for her so she came back. It took a few weeks but now she has a bunch of new friends, and she is even playing with the puppies. Shonda is around 4yrs old, has ataxia which causes her to have a funny gait. She can still run, climb stairs, go for hikes ( which is her favorite) She is fully vetted, crate trained, house broken, super sweet with all people, is interested in the cats but doesn’t act like she wants to eat them. Paul und Paula suchen ihr "Für-Immer-Zuhause "❣️ Die beiden 10 Monate jungen Katzen suchen noch immer nach einem geduldigen und liebevollen Zuhause. Paul und Paula, als Streuner in einer Gartenanlage geboren, sind mit 4 Monaten als ängstliche Kitten auf die Pflegestelle gekommen. Menschen waren ihnen am Anfang sehr suspekt. Stundenlang haben sie in ihrem Kittenzimmer in einem Versteck gesessen. Wenn keine Menschen in der Nähe waren, sind sie aus ihrem Schlupfloch gekommen und haben eng aneinandergekuschelt auf dem Fensterbrett gelegen. Mit viel Training (Trainingsplan: @kitcats_katzenverstehen) und über das Zusammenleben mit den Katzen der Pflegemama haben sie sich zu selbstbewussten und menschenbezogenen Katzen entwickelt. Ihre neuen Zweibeiner sollten Spaß und Zeit an der Beschäftigung mit den zwei Mäusen haben, da sie am Anfang vermutlich etwas schüchtern sein werden. Ihre zukünftigen Menschen brauchen breite Schultern, da sich Kuschelkater Paul sehr gerne auf diesen fortbewegt. Desweiteren sollte man selbst über einen sicheren Gang verfügen.😉 Paul liebt es, Slalom zwischen den Beinen seiner Menschen zu laufen. Und wehe man läuft weg. Da wird Paul zum Schnellläufer. Freigeist Paula ist mittlerweile eine sehr selbstbewusste Katze, die einmal erlernte Routinen wie selbstverständlich einfordert. Will sie Streicheleinheiten, schmeißt sie sich mit voller Wucht an ihren Menschen und dann muss es aber auch sofort mit dem Kraulen losgehen. Im Moment schläft sie sehr gerne auf dem Bauch ihrer Zweibeiner. Auch da sollte ausreichend Platz sein. 😉 Paul und Paula werden nur zusammen und nicht in den ungesicherten Freigang vermittelt. Ein gesicherter Balkon oder Terrasse wären wunderbar für die zwei. Paul und Paula sind kastriert, entwurmt, geimpft, FelV und FIV negativ getestet. Paul und Paula haben beide die Zahnerkrankung FORL. Bei Vermittlung ist die Behandlung abgeschlossen. We still need a foster for Daisy. Daisy would love to come into rescue but we are in need of a foster. Daisy is a fully vetted, spayed, HW neg 4 yr old. Daisy is house broken, crate trained and great with people. Daisy currently lives with another dog but they don’t always get along when beds and bones are involved. Four babies on the street, no mommy behind, two boys and two girls, searching home 🙏🏻❤️🏡 They were born on the territory of one hotel in Girne, management didn’t want dogs to be there so they gave us one month to find homes for babies and mommy. Naquela zona se estiverem soltos pelas ruas correm o risco de ser envenenados ou atropelados. Por isso, uma pessoa da zona abrigou-os e alimenta-os todos os dias. Contudo, ficam presos por uma corrente, e como isto não é vida para ninguém, pediu ajuda para finalmente arranjar boas famílias para eles. Davide 🩵 Aktuell in seiner Gastfamilie in Seelze ❤️ Größe: 50cm Gewicht: 20kg Stattlicher Labrador ähnl. Familienhund, 9 Monate, gepflegt und kastriert❤️ Davide, ein stattlicher Hundejunge, der an einen Labrador und sogar etwas Rottweiler erinnert, wurde im August 2023 in Griechenland geboren. Inzwischen lebt er friedlich in einer Pflegefamilie in Seelze und sucht von dort aus bundesweit nach seinem endgültigen Zuhause. Als Tierschutzverein sind wir dem kleinen Kerl gern bei seiner Suche behilflich. Mit seinem ausgeglichenen und entspannten Wesen fügt er sich unproblematisch in den Alltag ein und genießt es, den ganzen Tag gekuschelt zu werden. Der große Schmusebär läuft bereits gut an der Leine und liebt Spaziergänge in der Natur. In seiner Pflegefamilie lebt Davide derzeit mit einer Hündin zusammen, die er besonders toll findet. Dank seiner sozialen Art kommt er auch mit Rüden gut zurecht. Er hat problemlos im Rudel mit verschiedenen anderen Hunden zusammengelebt und kennt sogar Katzen. Davide zeigt sich sehr verspielt und liebt Kuscheltiere über alles. In seiner Pflegefamilie durfte Davide auch bereits den Büroalltag kennenlernen und hat dies souverän gemeistert. Er ist auch Kindern gegenüber aufgeschlossen und scheut den Kontakt nicht. Das Kommando „Sitz“ beherrscht Davide schon hervorragend, doch würde er sich über den Besuch einer Hundeschule sehr freuen. Er kann auch bereits stundenweise alleine bleiben, kennt Treppen und fährt problemlos im Auto mit. Für diesen stattlichen Hundejungen würden wir uns ein eher ländliches Zuhause wünschen. Davide ist gepflegt, bereits kastriert, gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt, tierärztlich untersucht und hat einen EU Heimtierausweis. Most of us define “LOVE” for our pets as “never-needing-for-not.” But… play, treats, snuggles, and unbridled freedom to come and go as they please, are not the ONLY ingredients necessary for happiness, and also fall short on what “LOVE” should encompass. As a matter of fact, the above, lopsided recipe can instead elicit stress, anxiety, overwhelm, hyper-arousal, over protection, & possessiveness… no where near what we assume “Love” should create. The fun stuff is easy, and feels the most rewarding, so we overindulge not knowing that we’re actually feeding the opposite of our intentions. We may be able to get away with this for the dogs that fall on the more stable end of the spectrum (even though these dogs can also be quick to take advantage). But for most dogs, that are far more genetically or emotionally challenged, a more tailored version of “love” that also includes the not-so-fun and easy-to-come-by stuff, is critical. This means we have to be willing to be firm when necessary, stern where needed, and tough even though it may seem contradictory in the moment. Rules, boundaries, structure, and & accountability have to be at play to one degree or another. Love isn’t binary. With all of the different personality and genetics factors along the spectrum, our dogs require an interpretation that is just as nuanced. It’s our job to find a customized version of “LOVE” that serves to help our dogs become the best versions of themselves.
