Did you know that we have around 300 edible plants and wild herbs here in Finland to forage? I was looking for information and inspiration yesterday on an advanced foraging course and learned so many new wild herbs, facts and usages of plants that many of us see as weeds. But look how pretty they are! 🌱 I learned that we have for example cumin and valerian here in Finland, and even if not all plants suitable for foraging are edible, you can use many of them to treat for example pain and improve your mood. Not to forget the fact that just walking in the woods and nature is medicine for your soul and body! 🌲 It’s really important to be able to recognize the plants, as in these pics there are poisonous ones as well. Study your plants well, take a course and have an open mind! And hey - foraging is free whether it’s plants and wild herbs, berries or mushrooms! Go out, go wild! En tiiä mikä siinä putkessa oikeen on, mutta silti vaikkei sitä paljoa olla tehty niin jotenkin oon saanut molemmat pennuista vakuutettua siitä että se on maailman siistein juttu😂 Tillin mielestä aina on sopiva hetki käydä putken kautta, erityisesti jos ohjaaja kuuntelee ohjeita ni siinä välissä on hyvä toteuttaa omaa toimintaa 😇 Haasteena meillä on ollut Tillin nopea reagointi (haukkuu muutaman kerran) joihinkin tilanteisiin esim. liian läheltä tuleviin toisiin koiriin mutta tätä on saatu hyvin työstettyä ja pääasiassa kaikki sujuukin jo oikeen mallikkaasti ☺️ Toki itse pyrin pitämään huolta ettei tulisi liian vaikeita tilanteita ja että palkkaus on aina kunnossa kun tälläsiä treenataan! Nuuskumatto on ollut meillä ihan hitti ja se on tällä hetkellä yksi Tillin suosikkipalkoista! Koitetaan kesän aikana treenailla minkä ehditään ja oon ajatellut että lähdettäisiin pikkuhiljaa rakentelemaan enemmän ajatuksella rally-tokon ja tokon liikkeitä. Pohjia ollaan toki tehty mutta ei kovin "tavoitteellisesti", vaan enemmänkin silloin tällöin muun ohessa. 🌲Planning what fun I will do this week🌲 We have already started our busy show season. Last weekend was a rare weekend off from show rings, and I was quite happy about that. We’ve had really warm days recently, and while I really like the warmth, it always changes how you need to think about your dogs’ wellbeing. Nowadays we have a lot different gear to keep our dogs content in summer shows, plus always a lot of water with us. I always think it’s better to have a bit of extra than see you don’t have any in the middle of the day. The coming weekend we continue our shows. It’s time for our Frenchies to shine this year. Minies have only a few shows this year, next one for Kim in two weeks, and I’m really excited about thise few occasions. But don’t understand me wrong, I absolutely love to show our Frenchies too. They’re little different to show, but I’ve made a huge job with our current team too, and I’m really proud of them. Ensimmäisen kerran olin ylikuormituksen tilassa toukokuussa 1994, 16-vuotiaana yhdeksäsluokkalaisena. Sitähän voisi luulla, että 30 vuoden, itse asiassa kehollisesti ja psyykkisesti melko samankaltaisina toistuvien vuodenkiertojen jälkeen ihminen olisi oppinut jotain - mutta ehei, taas sitä mennään! Tämä toukokuu ei silti ole kovin paha - se ei ole uhkaava eikä sävyiltään synkkä. Minun ei tarvitse pohtia, mistä olo johtuu ja mitä se kertoo, eikä myöskään pelätä, saanko voimani takaisin. Aivan varmasti saan. On aivan ilmeistä, että elämäni 46.vuodenkierto oli sellainen, että siitä palautuminen ottaa aikansa. Upea Vuorentaan kartano joka on kuin suoraan jostain Disneyn elokuvasta tai goottilaisesta vamppyyri tarinasta. 🏰 Kartanon historia alkaa 1500-luvulta jolloin se on ollut yksi kolmesta Halikon alueen kartanoista jotka omistivat Horn aatelis-suku 1700-luvulle asti. 1700-luvun jälkipuoliskolla kartano oli asumattomana pitkän aikaa ja kivirakennus raunioitui 1802. Armfeltin suku osti ja entisöi kartanon 1800-luvun puolivälissä. Armfeltin ostettua kartanon, päärakennus korjattiin ja sitä laajennettiin 1852-1855 jolloin kartanon ulkomuoto sai punatiilisen goottilaisen ulkomuotonsa. Vuorentaan kartano on määritelty yhdeksi Suomen merkittävistä rakennetuista kulttuuri ympäristöistä. Voi vaan kuvitella minkälaista tuolla on ollut asua sillon aikanaan ja mitä kaikkea salaisuuksia ja tapahtumia kartano ja sen miljöö pitääkään sisällään.
