F2 | 🏁HADJAR GANÓ LA CARRERA FEATURE. COLAPINTO FUE 5º 🏆Isack Hadjar ganó la carrera principal de la F2 en Imola, tras largar desde el 2º lugar. Los latinoamericanos Gabriel Bortoleto y Joshua Dürksen completaron el podio. Colapinto logró un sólido 5º puesto y cerró así el mejor fin de semana de la temporada, con la suma de un total de 21 puntos en el campeonato. En la largada, Colapinto le ganó la posición a Paul Aron para subir al 8º lugar. Bortoleto perdió la punta en la salida y cayó la 4º posición, dejando a Bearman como nuevo líder. En la vuelta 8 el argentino entró a boxes a cambiar neumáticos, ganándole la posición a Stanek, Maloney y Bearman, quedando virtualmente 5º -en pista 13º-. Bearman, que estaba liderando la carrera, quedó parado al intentar salir de boxes y cayó al final de la parrilla. 😬Insólito lo que pasó con las paradas de Cordeel y Martí.. En la vuelta 33 ambos ingresaron a boxes para cumplir con sus paradas. Ambos pilotos arrancaron con uno de sus neumáticos mal colocados e incluso la cubierta trasera del piloto de Hitech voló por los aires. Tanto Cordeel como Martí abandonaron la prueba. Franco mantuvo a raya a Aron en el resto de la carrera y se acercó a Antonelli para luchar por la 4ª posición. Tras todas las paradas cumplidas, Colapinto se consolidó en la 5ª posición. 🥇La victoria fue para Isack Hadjar. Bortoleto y Durksen lo escoltaron en el podio. Sumenle a eso que andaban parejo en el camino “tirando juntos” y eso se reflejaba en los tiempos de los diversos partes de la clasificación general de su categoría D. El boletín de Prensa nro 121 del 1/9/78, daba cuenta a las 8 hs de la largada del tercer tramo Manaos-Boa Vista (el famoso de la Reserva Waimiri) que este binomio no sería de la partida. Pese a haber llegado a Manaos, habían sufrido un accidente en el camino. Si bien ellos se encontraban en perfecto estado, habían tomado la decisión de no continuar. Hasta Cuiaba (Brasil) y luego de 7424 kms marchaban en el octavo lugar de la categoría D y eran el mejor auto de industria nacional, luego de los Mercedes y el Citroën de Paco Mayorga metido entre ellos. En las imágenes, vemos el auto que esta siendo entregado en la planta de Ford en Gral. Pacheco (Bs.As, Arg) con algunas mejoras, también en carrera y parte de un hallazgo que emociona. 🟡🇮🇹 Imola Grand Prix RACE PREVIEW The seventh race of the season is ahead of us! Imola hosts the next race of the calendar, a circuit we return to after last year‘s cancellation. Here is a little preview to prepare you for the race! ➡️🟡 STRATEGIES: According to Pirelli, it’s going to be a straight one-stopp race. Fastest way would be medium to hards or reversed, depending were you start and how the pace is. Softs could also come into play but possibly for those who want to make quick and aggressive progress. ➡️⚪️ RACE SETS: All drivers have at least one fresh medium tyre (Aston, as always did one lap on their mediums) which should be the best tyre for the race. A few have fresh softs but most only used sets. Both McLaren‘s have used hard tyres while the rest have at least one fresh set. ➡️🔵 STARTING GRID: Oscar Piastri would have started in second but has been given a grid penalty which drops him to P5. Dosadašnji vikend u Imoli se pokazao veoma izazovnim za Maksa i Red Bul. Tokom slobodnih treninga bilo je očigledno da se RB20 muči na ovoj stazi. Imali smo prilike da često čujemo frustracije Holandjanina na timskom radiju. Medjutim, kada je bilo najznačajnije Maks je bio najbolji osvojivši novu pol poziciju. Lando Noris u nijednom trenutku nije sumnjao u Ferstapena i Red Bul. “Definitivno je ovde teško za preticanje, posebno kada su razlike male. Uvek pokušavate da iskoristite tudje greške i borbe, koliko god to loše zvučalo. Znam da Maks nije imao najbolji mogući vikend ali ukoliko je bilo ko sumnjao u Red Bul i njega onda je glup. Zaista sam očekivao da će pronaći tempo u kvalifikacijama. Ostaje žal što smo propustili priliku za pol poziciju. Toyota Gazoo Racing were back in action at Spa Francorchamps last weekend, overcoming a challenging and eventful 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps to earn a solid result in the third round of the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in Belgium. In the last race before the Le Mans 24 Hours, the team battled against contact with other cars, penalties, and a performance deficit to secure points in their World Championship defence thanks to a strong effort from drivers, engineers and mechanics. Al Tamburello Leclerc entra leggermente più forte e sale prima sul gas. Il problema è uno snap che, prima della Villeneuve, porta il vantaggio di Piastri a -0"126. Alla Villeneuve abbiamo due impostazioni diverse. Piastri stacca prima per curare l'uscita. Nonostante ciò, però, riesce a percorrere con più velocità a centro curva (+4 km/h) e sale prima sul gas. Vantaggio sale a -0"181 prima della Tosa. Alla Tosa Leclerc entra più forte ma, nonostante una staccata anticipata, Piastri riesce a percorrere con la stessa velocità, godendo anche della possibilità di salire prima sul gas. Prima della Piratella il vantaggio sale a -0"240. Alla Piratella, in percorrenza, Leclerc non chiude il gas ma lo attiva per il 30%. La percorrenza è +6 km/h e, prima delle Acque Minerali, il vantaggio scende a -0"180. Grande lift di Piastri in entrata, il quale riesce comunque a salire prima sul gas. Leclerc ricuce e il vantaggio continua a scendere a -0"148 prima della Variante Alta. Alla Variante Alta stacca tardi il Ferrarista, ma ha più difficoltà a tornare sul gas. Was hier auf die Beine gestellt wird, ist in Deutschland nicht mehr zu finden. Der Oldtimer Grand Prix ist im Vergleich eine Lachnummer. Zudem ist der Eintrtitt am Ring deutlich teuer. Gerade die Starterfelder von #classicenduranceracing sind eine Wucht. Hier sieht man zahlreiche Porsche 911 RSR, Porsche 906, De Tomaso Pantera, Ferrari 512, Lola T70 und vieles vieles mehr. A pretty good day yesterday here at Santa Pod Raceway and the Doorslammers! 🤠 I’m starting to find out what the Vette wants, and I have finally made a couple of real passes in it! 🤠🤩 First round out yesterday we got the car down the track for the first time! 0.992 to 60ft 4.06 to the 1/8,mile and a 6.32 to the 1/4 mile! I was off the throttle at 5.15 because it moved around too much! 😅 In that round we also damaged the front end on the car!… But fixed it really quick! 😁 This was the first real pass I made in Jörgens Vette! 🚙💨 Then we made a 0.966 60ft, 4,03 to 1/8 and 6.19 to the 1/4! Car felt good but I was off the throttle and chutes out at 5.95 because it felt so lazy… Kind of forgot about how it is to do 1/4 mile passes! 😅🤣 After that I added some power and was looking for a 3.9? and 6.0? But a connector to the kill switch for the removable body did have a different plan for that round and the car went silent at 550 feet!… 😑 But the numbers did look good, 0.960 to 60ft and 4.02 to the 1/8 mile! But it felt really good until it died and in the chip draw last night for todays eliminations we were lucky and got a bye run for first round today! 🤩🥳 So I see it as we have one more test round for free, and we are here to improve! 🇮🇹 We compare the pole lap times of the past four races at Imola. Two times a Mercedes, two times a Red Bull. Will the ground-effect era beat the last generation, known as the fastest ever? ➡️ F1 returned to Imola in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Valtteri Bottas in his W11 took pole ahead of Lewis Hamilton with an advantage of just under a tenth. Both Mercedes cars were dominantly in the 1:13‘s while third placed Max Verstappen secured third with a 1:14.176. ➡️ In 2021, the battle between Mercedes and Red Bull reached a high at Imola. Lewis Hamilton took pole ahead of Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen. The gap between these three was very close and again under a tenth. Meanwhile, the gap to fourth-placed Charles Leclerc was nearly three tenths. ➡️ It’s the time of Max Verstappen now, with him taking pole in a rainy 2022 Imola qualifying session. His time of a 1:27.999 was nearly a second faster than Charles Leclerc‘s fastest lap in Q3. Lando Norris in third was over a second behind, marginally ahead of Haas‘ Kevin Magnussen. ➡️ Due to floods in 2023, the race was cancelled but returned this year. Max Verstappen again showed his talent and put his RB20 onto pole despite struggles in all three practice sessions.
