Today was the last day of formal lessons before our Year 13s head off on study leave, and they marked the occasion with a traditional week of dressing up, that has seen them work their way through a variety of themes, from ‘dress for the job you want’ - a quarter of the year dressed as medics! - to formal wear and Princesses and Super Heroes.
The girls dug out their old school uniforms for the annual Year 13 vs Staff rounders match. There was tiebreak torment, that saw our enthusiastic educators taught a tough lesson! With the score at 6 all after normal time, the match moved to a tie break. A great strike by Melissa sent the ball flying over the hedge and off-site (the fourth of the day!) to clinch a victory for the girls 7.5 rounders to 7.
We wish our Year 13’s the very best in their exams and, with a bumper crop of university offers including Oxford, Durham, St Andrews and Bath, we cannot wait to see what their futures hold.
