πŸ“πŸŒπŸ₯œπŸ’ͺ<br /><br />This is a typical breakfast for my little one. Maybe a slice of toast here or there, but mostly just fruit and peanut butter.<br /><br />She doesn't eat meat, of any kind. We've tried fish, chicken, eggs, beef, turkey, and pork and yet she spits it out almost immediately. Even if it's an ingredient, like in meat sauce with spaghetti. The foods we have been able to feed her for protein are black beans, tofu, protein pasta, and age-appropriate food pouches.<br /><br />It's what she likes. Who am I to tell her no or force her to eat something she doesn't like? I want my daughter to have a healthy relationship with food and eating, and that begins here and now: toddlerhood. She loves almost every single veggie and fruit, including raw sweet peppers and steamed broccoli. She's comfortable trying new foods from Mama or Daddy's plate because we don't expect her to like it. If she does, great! Another item to add to the list. If she doesn't, okay! We'll wait on that one a bit longer.<br /><br />(It helps, too, to have a husband who's VERY experienced and versatile with food. He's also helped me expand my food palate and encouraged me in the kitchen too, something I never was comfortable with before.)<br /><br />If there's one thing I know, having a solid, safe foundation at home means everything to a child (and their future), even if they're unaware of it at the time. This is my plan as a parent and as a wife/partner.
