Keeping a pulse.
After 23 straight days working my Wildfire job, my ‘rest’ days are now filled with observing the land. Last year we had poor pollination, this year we have had temperatures well above ‘normal’, resulting in berry bushes either not setting fruit or drying them right on the branches.
Another year of zero harvests for the humans, and hoping there will be enough for the wild critters. With the mindset of stewardship over ego, I’ll be propagating more of these native species by both seed and cuttings. We are here as guests, it’s the very least we can do.
