I've been thinking a lot this week about how I got started in this business of design. About this time 8 years ago I decided to leave my career in tech. My father had just passed away and I was struggling to connect with a job I wasn't passionate about anymore.
That first year was tough - going back to school and attempting a massive career change while also navigating in the fog of grief was a lot, but it's led to something really amazing.
Sometimes I hate that loosing my dad is what started me on this journey, at times the wins can feel bittersweet. But, I know he'd be so proud of what I'm building and I hope that he'd be happy that he had a hand in inspiring me to pursue my passion.
