Here is an invocation to the ancestors that I wrote for my workshop at Mystic South:
“Oh, ancestors who came before us,
Whose wisdom and strength we hold dear,
We gather here to honor and remember,
Your presence always near.
With gratitude, we offer our prayer,
For the guidance you bestow,
In times of joy and times of despair,
Your wisdom helps us grow.
May your spirits watch over us,
As we navigate life's path,
Grant us courage, love, and trust,
To face challenges with resolve and grace.
We seek your blessings and protection,
For our family and all who came before,
May your legacy be our inspiration,
Forever cherished, forevermore.
In humble reverence, we bow our heads,
In unity, we honor your name,
May the bond between us never fade,
Our gratitude forever aflame.
To our ancestors, we send this prayer,
With love and reverence, we convey,
Your presence and guidance we hold dear,
Now and for eternity, we shall always pray.”
