🤍 Hope you are having a kind moment to you and the people you touch.
❤️ Grateful to welcome myself into (and be welcomed by) a “new” family of 6 with my ex and his partner and to have spent a peaceful, delicious, loving Christmas Eve all together. I could not have imagined this a year ago when I was still grieving the “traditional family” tradition.
I dove into the NOW (aka LOVE) and crawled out realizing there is no tradition, my kids have a great second home, we are all just trying to do the best we can, no one ever came to “get me” except for myself, and have been holding hands with that part of myself 👧🏻 with kind words and huge warm hugs (on million repeats, because she’s stubborn but I love her so).
So that just about sums up my healing journey as a divorced parent of two, folks! 🤣 I am aware that this kind of labeling holds a stigma and may create stories that I did not intend to be interpreted, but o well you damn and beautiful WORDS❣️
