Week 1 - Scene 6 - Vrijdag ✨ I know it's still earlier but I'm liking Liv a lot. She actually seems to be a nice person, and I'm very on defensive in things related to the fashion world cause it can be very shallow. Which... is exactly why I'm going to say that I didn't really like Jules. I think he was trying to make Otis feel at ease with his comments but some just didn't sit well with me. . It's interesting that, after the last clip showed us Otis being insecure about his capabilities to be a model, now we see him being insecure again, but about his body. I don't know if it was just nerves of doing a first photoshoot or if there's something more, but it's another interesting detail that might come in again over the duration of the show. . Still, regardless of insecurities and of me liking Jules or not, it does seem like they liked Otis, which I'm happy for! And the fashionbash coming on Saturday night is going to be interesting... Week 1 - Scene 5 - Vrijdag ✨ It's casting time!!!! And of course when you mix Otis and Hanne, add a camera and a couple fragile items, then the risk of things going sideways increases drastically, which could end up like... Well, like this. . Liv is very nice to still allow Otis to do the casting, even after they literally ran away after breaking the lamp. And...yeah maybe it's better for Otis to come alone, at least until he secures the spot. Still, I will not tolerate any more disrespect towards my girl Hanne, Miss Liv, it's a one time thing! And only cause the lamp incident! . Now this clip showed us a side of Otis I don't think we'd ever seen: the insecure one. As soon as he saw all the other models, he wanted to turn away and even after the lamp incident, he kept seeing things like "maybe it's for the best" or "let's drink, at least I'm good at that". I'm glad Hanne and Liv both managed to convince him to do this, each in their own way, but still, it's an interesting way to dive a bit into this side of him... Week 1 - Scene 4 - Vrijdag ✨ Hanne, I can't tell you how much I missed you! When I knew she'd be around, I was so happy because Otis and Hanne had some of my favorite interactions of S6 and S7, and in just one clip, I could see that energy was here again. Also, I'm glad she showed Otis the casting was the real deal. Everyone knows how much Otis is into fashion and she's right, this could launch his career if it goes well. . The whole scene with that guy trying to get Hanne to have a drink with him was so weird. I don't know it I should laugh or turn away. He tried, gotta give him that, but yeah... Like Hanne said... No, just no. He really missed his shot... In fact, he shot it so high it left the stadium. But hey, maybe someone in his parents farm will catch the ball :) . Small last comment to say that I found it funny that Hanne hadn't even asked her coworker to cover her and she was already grabbing her purse. Week 1 - Scene 3 - Vrijdag ✨ Can I start a petition to punch that guy? He's literally the worst! Like, I have no idea what Otis' mom sees in him cause he seems super disrespectful and entitled. The whole thing about "this is my house" is so angering. Like, yes, it's your house but if you are dating his mom and you took them in, it's also his house. I seriously admire Otis for keeping his cool here. . Still, I love that we got to see a bit of Otis' home life, even if it's not the best. In S7, I really wish we would've gotten more scenes of Anaïs with her parents so I'm glad to at least get a glimpse of what Otis has to deal with! Also, I really hope he can find somewhere to crash in the night, cause yeah... Every minute around that guy seems like torture. . This scene (I wrote "clip" again... This is gonna take a while) also gave us some cool establishing of time and of Otis himself. We got confirmation that it's Friday morning and that Otis is skipping lessons, and also got reminded of the fact he's vegan (or vegetarian, I can't be sure) with the tofu conversation. Week 1 - Scene 2 - Vrijdag ✨ So Otis apparently can sprint down the street without sleeping the previous night, but I get tired after walking to the bus stop... I'm feeling attacked. Anyways it's time to meet our first new face: Liv!!!! And she's definitely gorgeous!! No wonder she's a modeling scout, she definitely knows beauty . I find Otis' reaction super relatable here. Having a random woman in the street say you could be a model, tell you about a casting call, giving you her card, and not it being a joke is highly unlikely, but here, it seems like he truly hit the jackpot. Happy for him! . The show is definitely speeding into the action. We are two scenes in (I didn't write "clips" this time! I call that progress) and we are already going into the modeling plot. Definitely like to see that happen! Yes, some are not super easy to adapt to immediately but overall, I'm excited to follow Otis' story!!! Can't wait to see Mathis shine! . And we start on a rather unique setting. A whole episode that takes place in just one day! For those that followed skamFR S5 and S12, this will be no news for you, but for those that didn't, it's always interesting to see a day so filled with things and oh boy, was this Friday full of things!! . We start of with an immediate very important message with Otis refusing the drugs that girl wanted to sell him. Even better, he destroyed them, meaning that's one less person consuming at that party!
