Hey crafty friends, I'm back with the finished card using those fun Furbabies Stencils. I really enjoyed creating this beautiful stencilled scene, but a lovely friend who lost her furbaby was on my heart at the time, so the card has a sombre tone appropriate for the loss of a beloved pet. I used muted warm brown tones for the stencilling and four different Distress Oxide Colours, Ground Espresso, Walnut Stain, Pumice Stone and Antique Linen. I paired the panel with a lovely warm brown paper from Concord and 9th called Nutmeg, from their Assorted Color Stack. The lovely heavyweight paper made a great base for the design. I used my Tim Holtz Deckle Edge Trimmer to finish the panel before adhering it to the Nutmeg base. I added a sentiment from the lovely Paws To Remember Stamp Set from Whimsy to the front of the card and then decorated the inside of the card with another lovely set from Whimsy called Love Has Four Paws. I needed two cards recently for friends who had lost their beautiful fur babies, so I'll be back to share another card using this beautiful set too very soon. Hey crafty friends, it's time for our last challenge of the year at Sweet Stampin' and this week we are sharing all our beautiful Christmas creations! I adore Mo Manning's beautiful images and I've not had time to colour one lately, but I had this one sitting waiting to be made into a card, which I coloured last year, after Christmas, actually in that lovely quiet period that follows. So I pulled out the Twinkle Stencil from Whimsy Stamps and some gold ink and added some lovely sparkles around the scene. I chose very earth tone colours for their clothes, because I felt it was more authentic to what they would have worn in the time. I knew my mummy would love this scene, so I created this card with her in mind. The beautiful sentiment is also from Whimsy Stamps. I created two cards for our last challenge of the year and this second card uses a lovely Simon Says Stamp Round Heart die I had used to create some shapes for a class I did recently. This panel was my 'waste' so I backed it with some gorgeous tartan paper from Whimsy and added a beautiful sentiment from their November Release. YIKES! I just realized this morning that I haven't shared my final 3 @whimsystamps DT cards for September, so here is my first one! I really love all the pumpkin shapes and sizes in the Build a Pumpkin Patch die set, and the Halloween Expressions stencil is the perfect addition! I made a simple little scene with these 3 pumpkins and the Bandana 6x6 paper pack. Hello, today I am posting a tag that I have made for @whimsystamps. I have coloured the image Frog prince (digital stamp) from @whimsystamps with my Polychromos pencils, the black glaze pen and a white gelpen and then I have fussy cut the image. With the Mini slim tag die set (WSD343a) from @whimsystamps I have cut a tag from white cardstock. I have cut the bottom part of the tag from green dotted paper from the Mix-n-match 2 paperpack (WSDP38) from @whimsystamps. On the tag I have made a background with the It's cloudy - 6x9 stencil (WSS107c) from @whimsystamps and Tumbled glass Distress ink. I glued the dotted paper on the tag and then I glued the image with foamtape on the tag. I have stamped a sentiment from the set Everyday scripted sentiments (CWSD155) from @whimsystamps on white cardstock. Hello, today a new challenge starts on the As you like it challenge blog. For our challenge we want to know if you prefer making cards with bright or pastel colours. I really enjoy making cards in bright colours. I really love it when the colours pop. It makes me happy. For this challenge I have made a card with the digital stamp Swim time mouse (digital stamp) from @whimsystamps. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils, the black glaze pen and a white gelpen. I have fussy cut the image. I have made a slimline card from red cardstock. I have cut a couple of squares from white cardstock with the Mini slim rounded stitched die set (WSD300a) from Whimsy stamps. On one of the squares I made a background with the It's cloudy - 6x9 stencil (WSS107c) from Whimsy stamps and Tumbled glass Distress ink. I have cut a couple of sandhills from one of the other rectangles and I coloured those with Scattered straw, Brushed corduroy and Vintage photo Distress ink. I added some extra accents on the sand with a white gelpen. On one of the other rectangles I have drawn waves and I have fussy cut those. I coloured those with Salvaged patina, Peacock feathers, Mermaid lagoon, Prize ribbon Distress ink. Here I also added extra details with a white gelpen. I first glued the waves on the cloudy background, then I added the sandhills. I have glued the mouse image with foamtape on the background. I have stamped a sentiment from the set Sending sunshine clear stamps (CWSD225) from Whimsy stamps on white cardstock and then I have cut the sentiment with a die from the Quick strips die set from Whimsy stamps. It's time to share my last card for May for @whimsystamps and this one is my favorite! I was so inspired by a recent YouTube video by @amybeth928 who was inspired by @mindyeggendesign that I just had to try it myself! It involves using baby wipes (or damp paper towels) and a stencil and running them through your die cutting machine over an inked up panel. Hey crafty friends, I'm popping in tonight with a sweet creation I made after the recent stencilling classes I did with Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner. These classes had fabulous guest designers too! I must say I did genuinely learn lots on the course and really loved this technique which was shared by Jennifer McGuire, using a 3 stencil design on one page. I mixed 3 fabulous Whimsy stencils to work with the cute image I wanted to pair it with. I really loved the striking combination of three stencils at an angle to each other that Jennifer showed and knowing I wanted to work with this cute Lion image, I decided to pair some animal pattern stencils and a leafy stencil to create my trio of stencilled patterns. I masked off areas as I went to ensure nice crisp lines and no overlap. I must say, the card matched the vision I had in my head, so I was really happy with the finished design. I used a couple of colours on each area, to give some shadow and light to the designs. If you swipe left, I show the three main Oxide Inks I used. I coloured up that adorable Lion which is from the Safari Animals Stamp Set by Krista Heij Barber with Copic Markers and added it to the design popped up on foam where the stencils intersected. The lovely greenery stencil is sadly now retired at Whimsy, but it may be possible to pick it up from resellers. It was called Farmhouse Greenery. Goodmorning, today I am posting a new card that I have made for @whimsystamps. This time I have made a card with the image Love trip (digital stamp) from Whimsy Stamps. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils, the black glaze pen and a white gelpen. I have fussy cut the image and then I coloured the hot air balloon with the Clear Spectrum noir sparkle glitter pen. I have made a slimline card from pink cardstock. With the Slimline card builder die from Whimsy Stamps I have cut 2 rectangles from white cardstock. On one of the rectangles I have made a background for my card with the It's cloudy - 6x9 stencil (WSS107c) from Whimsy Stamps and Peacock feathers Distress ink. I have made a little grashill from the second rectangle with the help of the Grassy and cloud edger dies (WSD421) from @Whimsy Stamps. I coloured the grass with Twisted citron, Mowed lawn and Rustic wilderness Distress ink and then I glued it on the cloudy background. I have glued both rectangles on the card and then I added the image with foamtape on the card. I have stamped a sentiment from the set Simple sentiment strips (CWSD354) from Whimsy Stamps on white cardstock. Goodmorning, today I am posting the present that I have made for day 9 from the advent calendar (click on the link for all posts) for my mother. This time I made a box with a drawer for a little present. For the decoration of the box I have used 2 funny penguins that I have made from cardstock with the Penguin pals die set from @whimsystamps. To make my penguins extra festive I decided to use black glitter cardstock. I have given the big penguin a hat and the little one a bow. I have cut those from red cardstock with the Penguin pals pizzazz die set from @whimsystamps. The box is my own design and I have made it from red cardstock. On the top of the box I have glued white cardstock. On the white cardstock I have made a background with the It's cloudy - 6x9 stencil (WSS107c) from Whimsy stamps and Tumbled glass distress ink. I have cut a snowhill with the Boho circles die set from Whimsy stamps and coloured it with Tumbled glass distress ink. I have stamped the tree from the set Snowball family (Clear stamps) from Whimsy stamps with Versafine clair Shady lane on the background. I have glued the penguins on the background.
