As you can see in slide 1 I am a ~fan of music~ so I am very excited in under two weeks to bring a very special gig to Philly, with the debut of Oakland's Middle Aged Queers (see slide 2)!!! I fell in love with them at Fest (see slide 3) when a member said "I am the only person to have made out with every member of American Steel" which spoke to me because that band is hot 🥵. During our community forums, we aimed to gather data about events from our community partners. While quantifying tangible aspects is relatively straightforward, we faced the challenge of capturing the unquantifiable aspects – the "feels" that contribute to the overall experience. The team @Tinywpa asked our participants to finish the sentence "It’s really important that our event feels..." The responses we received were enlightening, providing valuable insights into the emotional impact of our events. On Saturday, May 13th, we held a prototyping workshop at NextFab to complete our community design forum process. One of the most ingenious hands-on exercise devised by our partners @TinyWPA asked us to create a communal graph using woodblocks of all the material amenities needed to organize a successful future event. To capture the needs and potential usages of a multi-purpose mobile teaching unit, the design process will begin with neighborhood specific focus groups populated by Vox Populi’s community partners and facilitated by Tiny WPA.
