Race number three of my seven-part Gravel Cycling Series took place last weekend, offering a thrilling course with rugged trails, big climbs, and scenic views. For me, the event began Thursday with the first shakeout ride, followed by a lively camping experience where participants enjoyed meeting new people, reconnecting with friends, making new friends, sharing stories, and preparing for the race. Race day started with clear skies, and the temperature built throughout the day. Many others have posted photos of salt-stained jerseys. Despite the hot weather, the race was filled with intense competition and moments of camaraderie. Post-race, everyone shared stories and congratulations, celebrating a great day of racing and effort. Special Shoutouts: @lovethismtblife lovethismountainbikelife: Secured a second place finish in her first gravel cycling race. @sandrasbyrne : Finished second in her age group.
