These were taken on the final day of our Arizona trip, which we spent at the Arizona Renaissance Festival. As expected, there were many people in costume, lots of great food, and plenty of odd activities to partake in. My Dad and I ended up having a pillow fight to the death while sitting on a log (not a sentence I thought I'd find myself typing). While I ended up beating him (both literally and figuratively), he still crushed me on the archery challenge. There was plenty of live entertainment, including jousting, comedy, live music, sword swallowing, and much more. The fairgrounds were so enormous that there was no possible way we could have seen / done everything that was available. Other oddities included a dungeon showcasing various medieval torture methods as well as a tank with totally real live mermaids. Although, the most underrated feature ended up being several carts positioned throughout that were selling jumbo sized pickles for $2. We bought several. Perfect for a hot day. Originally, I thought the prices for our tickets were a bit expensive. Then I remembered that one ticket to Disneyland costs the same as four tickets to the ren faire. I guarantee that the soft pretzels are cheaper as well. Miss @sarahvonsweets came to the @arizona_renaissance_festival for the very first time yesterday and I happily walked the loop with her to point out some of my favorite things! We stopped by @blondeswanhats to hug Justine and see the new chapeaus. Of course she was introduced to the #TortugaTwins, but we missed a bunch of my other favorite acts so we’ll have to go again if you’d like to join us! I also stocked up on the only incense I ever burn in my house anymore from Belle Star Oyles and Perfumes. They revolutionized one of the daily staples in my life by creating an adapter to burn solid incense sticks, no wood core required. Each stick burns for about an hour, with 20 sticks in a package. I usually cycle between the Egyptian Musk and Amber, but with Valentines Day coming up, I grabbed some Rose as well 🌹🕯️ I put the link in my bio, if you’d like to order some and try it yourself!
