✨Más de lo que se ve a simple vista✨ Este autorretrato (que fue parte del trabajo creado durante mi residencia en Shangri La) se trata de: reconocer que a menudo hay más por comprender o descubrir mucho mas allá del nivel superficial. Tomé esta imagen afuera de la casa de huéspedes, detrás de estas hermosas puertas decoradas. Cuando la condensación del mar golpea las ventanas, el agua eventualmente se evapora pero la sal en el agua queda en su lugar. Con el tiempo, el residuo salino hará que la ventana parezca sucia y con un aspecto lechoso. En este auto retrato, este proceso y efecto borroso simbolizan el anhelo de ser reconocido(a) o comprendido(a) a un nivel más profundo en contraposición a una noción preconcebida que influye demasiado en cómo se percibe hoy en día a las mujeres musulmanas. Sin embargo, era importante para mí mantener el contacto visual con el espectador para así poder transmitir un sentido de apertura y disposición para interactuar, mientras que la silueta borrosa representa mi deseo de un mundo más equitativo y comprensivo donde las personas se evalúen según su carácter, habilidades y acciones en lugar de la “salada” noción preconcebida. Some of you have asked me to use this palette in a tutorial and how to do graphic eyes. Line your design, get some Qtips and micellar water in case you need them to shape/correct. POV: You’re done perfecting your models red lip and the producer said “lets all break for lunch!” 💀🥲 #iykyk …you have less than 5 min to fix that lip before she goes on camera 🥹 Thank the lawd for Concealer because it’s gonna be your wingman (you can use foundation too, but I prefer a good concealer’s texture). *Reference video* of me using kvdbeauty Good Apple concealer to fix the bleed/smear. Top tip: don’t forget to swipe brush on a cotton pad after you go over the color with concealer to avoid spreading the color you just removed for the next area. Fun fact: You can also use concealer to shape your lips many different ways! 💥Double winged Smokey liner💥 Went BOLD using kvdbeauty #tattooliner “trooper black” to quickly trace my lines (it doesn’t have to be perfect, we just tracing!). Then use #KVDbeauty tattoo pencil liner in the new shade “Pearlspar White” in between the liners, inner corner of eye and all over eyelid. Use eyeshadow “Void Pond” from the Moon Garden palette to smoke over the lines traced and add from inner corner of crease until mid crease. Go back with #Tattooliner and draw your sharp liner again to give back definition. Added ardellbeauty Eco lashes in “GoodGood” for a lil lift. 💥Double winged Smokey liner💥 Went BOLD using kvdbeauty #tattooliner “trooper black” to quickly trace my lines (it doesn’t have to be perfect, we just tracing!). Then use #KVDbeauty tattoo pencil liner in the new shade “Pearlspar White” in between the liners, inner corner of eye and all over eyelid. Use eyeshadow “Void Pond” from the Moon Garden palette to smoke over the lines traced and add from inner corner of crease until mid crease. Go back with #Tattooliner and draw your sharp liner again to give back definition. Added ardellbeauty Eco lashes in “GoodGood” for a lil lift. If we (Artist) cared way less about what everyone else thought of us and got to do what truly makes us happy (perhaps dare to do things that would challenge growth) vs staying in this safe/comfortable state of creating the same type of work over and over again… there would be less comparisons between each other (which is the pure thief of joy) and a healthier community/industry for all. Most people talk sh** and hate on things that you do, because your drive and passion shakes their ground, and to be honest, most people like to stand in the exact same place (for as long as they can hold on to) because it feels safe. But we all know standing in the same spot gets you no where. Literally. So for those of you feeling like no one gets your craft, art, business or the new you…. never forget that while you’re living your best life it’s expected that some sort of feels will creep up on others and manifest in feelings of jealousy or envy. Even on those who do love you or consider you a friend. And if you happen to be reading this and you are the problem, the one looking at everyone trying to find excuses as to why everyone makes it but not you, it’s healthier to ask for advise, ask questions or start collaborating with those who secretly inspire you. 💕 DIY soft long lasting creamy Blush 💕 Most people know that you can dab lipstick on your cheeks for cream blush, but if the lipstick is matte, dry and hard to buff or the liquid lipstick stains as you dot when you put on the face you can always smear the lipstick on the back of your hand (I’m using #KVDbeauty everlasting liquid lipstick in shade “Spiked Celosia”) a drop of clear face primer (kvdbeauty Lock-it Pore refining primer) = a very faint but long lasting crème like texture blush. ✨Más de lo que se ve a simple vista✨ Este autorretrato (que fue parte del trabajo creado durante mi residencia en Shangri La) se trata de: reconocer que a menudo hay más por comprender o descubrir mucho mas allá del nivel superficial. Tomé esta imagen afuera de la casa de huéspedes, detrás de estas hermosas puertas decoradas. Cuando la condensación del mar golpea las ventanas, el agua eventualmente se evapora pero la sal en el agua queda en su lugar. Con el tiempo, el residuo salino hará que la ventana parezca sucia y con un aspecto lechoso. En este auto retrato, este proceso y efecto borroso simbolizan el anhelo de ser reconocido(a) o comprendido(a) a un nivel más profundo en contraposición a una noción preconcebida que influye demasiado en cómo se percibe hoy en día a las mujeres musulmanas. Sin embargo, era importante para mí mantener el contacto visual con el espectador para así poder transmitir un sentido de apertura y disposición para interactuar, mientras que la silueta borrosa representa mi deseo de un mundo más equitativo y comprensivo donde las personas se evalúen según su carácter, habilidades y acciones en lugar de la “salada” noción preconcebida.
