TBT to this magical story back when I first started the site. Christina @snap_happy and I met and started her search- she was a first time buyer and mom to cutie pie Zoey, just 3 years old. After the Great Depression, this community was created as an agritopia -like experiment for low income housing. Originally there were approx 70 adobe homes all on large parcels and residents were selected to occupy and grow their own food, have their own livestock, etc. More than 700 people applied for the chance to live in the community! Today only about 40 of the original adobe homes are left standing- but the area is like no other in Phoenix.
