I was thinking the other day that I really need to think more positive. I am one of those people who sees the glass half empty. When people ask me, "How is your day going?" I always respond with an "okay" or "ehh" and shoulder shrug. What I should say is, "it's going great!" Yeah maybe I still got kicked that day, but maybe I only got kicked one part of the day instead of 5. I really don't know why I feel I need to be negative, because I have found a renewed passion for teaching. I love what I do. The student who kicks me asks for hugs and tells me he loves me. I am reaching him. My student from last year who threw things, said bad words, or hit me doesn't do it anymore. I told him today, "Thank you for not saying bad words." He told me doesn't say them because he missed me. Tuesday starts my second year of teaching at CCA! ❤️ My heart has been overwhelmed with gratitude for the opportunity the Lord has given me to influence other’s lives through teaching! For many weeks, I have bathed my students in prayer and I have asked God to be at the center of our classroom and school! I am so excited to see what the Lord is going to do for our 5th and 6th graders this year! These kids are going to do big things, I just know it! God brings people into our lives (big or small) for a reason. They teach us, mold us, and make us stronger. This little guy has had my heart and taught me SO much in the few years that I have had the opportunity to teach him. Not only is he "special" in his own way, but he is the most loving, tender hearted, compassionate little boy I've ever met.
