It wasn't just the first tattoo for my client, also it was the first time I inked a mjölnir as a whole design. This Hammer of thor, the norse thundergod, is inspired by a find in Bredsättra, sweden. My take on the cosmic hunt and # 121. It's a story told to describe the origin of Star constellations, widespread in the world. Mostly the blood of the prey morphs into stars. Got inspired to do a 'mother of dragons' again. It's raw idea is coming from väte church relief and got mixed up with prehistoric figurine and antler pieces. The lifelines-deer inspired me to do a depiction of mother earth again. There's a lot different things that went in this spiritual piece. Figured that it maybe interesting for you people to see the face behind all the shenanigans. And of course a little introduction who am I. So here we go! My Name is miggl and I started tattooing people by accident! Born into a lovely german family of artists and history enthusiasts I started out painting, drawing and keeping all busy by asking weird histo-questions since my childhood. Tattoos always fascinated me and after getting a good amount of I received my first handpoke at an event where we were larping as vikings. (Fun fact it was at my beloved museum @afm_oerlinghausen ) Few years later I crafted a chest for my friend and tattoartist @blodvaka_tattooing And as a little payment I asked if he could show me the craft, so I can do a little thing on myself just for my science-brain. Everybody saw it comin, beside me. But after I've learned tattooing and tattooing myself soon friends stopped by and a few years later here I am. Living out my passion for caveart, inking people and even managed to include my spiritual views into the craft (and barely no time to do things beside that) The interest in this 'real' traditional craft of handpoking brought me to read and learn so much about the history of ink and led also to doin experimental things myself, like flint cut n rub, bone needle and other shenanigans. Stumbled across a crazy find and was instantly inspired for scribbling a birdshaman. This birdhead carved from antler belongs to a grave dating back to 4400 bce by the yamnaya-culutre. The lived during the late copperage in the eurasien steppe, which later will be ruled by scythians and co, and followed up my beloved cucuteni-tripilliya culture.
