✨ 🏞️ Just when we thought Jinhee and Jason’s elopement couldn’t get any more magical, Yosemite’s breathtaking beauty took it to another level! 👶🍼Originally planning an August hike, their plans shifted to May when they discovered they were expecting! 🪻With lush green meadows and cascading waterfalls, Yosemite in spring provided the perfect backdrop. 🐾 🦮We started the day with a serene sunrise session in the meadow, joined by their adorable pup, Tubbs, who proudly wore a “Big Sis” handkerchief as a pregnancy announcement! 🇰🇷🇵🇭As the day’s events transpired, Jinhee and Jason beautifully honored their heritages by donning traditional Korean Hanbok and Filipino Barong Tagalog attire during their Yosemite elopement, creating a unique and heartfelt blend of cultures. 🌲Their intimate ceremony at Sentinel Beach, surrounded by towering trees and a stunning waterfall, was heartwarming. 💍💞📖 Jinhee’s brother officiated, making it even more special. The smells of the most delicious food filled the air thanks to the hard work of their private chef. A beautifully decorated table awaited them and their guests. The rest of the evening was enjoyed by an intimate dinner with their guests. This was the wedding experience that felt true to Danielle & Keisha. If you could get married anywhere–ANYWHERE–doing absolutely anything, what would you do? Because let me tell you, there are ways we can make that happen on your wedding day (or at least get somewhere damn close). There is no right way to experience a mountain. It doesn’t matter if you’re hiking up it or looking at it from afar. ANY proximity to the mountains is the best proximity, IMO. This includes the big ones, like Aconcagua–the biggest mountain in South America and the second largest in the “seven summits” group, only 7k shorter than freaking Mount EVEREST. And Sara & Eric didn’t hike it. She was in heels. The whole day. Are you with me now? I love their day so much because it has so many of the things I love for couples so much–total luxury, absolutely out of the norm, totally unique to them, and all with once-in-a-lifetime views. What could be better than that? After taking a 4x4 up the mountain for a sunrise ceremony (zero! hiking!), Sara & Eric spent the rest of their day in a vineyard nestled into the Mendoza Valley of Argentina, famous for making some of the best Malbec in the world. They dressed down (only slightly, the commitment to the theme was amazing) and settled into one of by far the coolest day-of activities I have ever seen—they had a custom wine blending session. Experts at the vineyard guided Sara & Eric through the process of making the wine, explaining the notes from different bottles and then let them loose to taste, swirl, and sniff as much as they wanted. After they settled on their own unique blend, they capped it off with an enthusiastic cork sealing and then drew their own labels to go on their bottles. Et voilà. Two wedding day blends, made right there in the valley, all ready to go. Later on, they settled in for a private dinner in the middle of the vineyard all to themselves, complete with a private chef, local wine (of course), and a first dance. After the day was done, they retired to their private villa on-site to rest and unwind. Don’t let the elopement mold goad you into a day you don’t want. sometimes, keeping such an important moment intimate, makes it even more significant compared to if you had lots of witnesses for it the decision to not share something so big and significant with your loved ones is an incredibly hard one, but almost everyone I talk to never regrets it. Because it allows you to stay true to yourselves, and truly make an experience out of your elopement! S + J were no exception, and I’m still over the moon with the fact that they wanted me to tag along their elopement in Jasper, and capture it for them. If you’ve been looking for a photographer who * understands Autism/ASD and Sensory Processing Disorder *who knows the nerves and oftentimes stress of doing a photoshoot with a child or adult on the spectrum *and you want to capture memories as a family just the way you are, then I am happy to be that person! These aren’t separate sessions to what I already offer but is a way to customize our time together and create a memorable photoshoot experience! In 2010 I became an aunt to my sweet nephew, Carter. I was only 13 years old when he was born and he instantly became the center of my world. For those that know me personally, my nephew and niece mean more to me than anything. They are one of the main reasons my passion for photography started. Capturing moments in time is what I live for. Carter was diagnosed with Autism when when he was 9 years old, but before that we already knew he was beyond special. His personality, intelligence, and love for the world is one of the greatest blessings I have witnessed as he grows up. Nothing is sweeter then a 1st birthday shoot that includes cake 🧁💕 Miss Charlotte turned 1️⃣ this week and we had the best time celebrating her. For all my parents out there, I highly recommend doing 1st birthday photos. Time goes by way too fast not to have this moment frozen in time! 📸💛
Happy Friday friends! 🌞 Would you guess we took these at 7:30am? 📸 There’s so many benefits to early morning photoshoots! 1. Less crowds= less people around. While I always try and find secluded spots, when it comes to fun places like downtown an early morning shoot is best! 2. You get the rest of the day to relax! Getting your photos done in the morning has you already dressed and ready for the day ahead! 3. This is for my parents - if your kids tend to be more calm and good spirited in the morning these are perfect for you. Sometimes end of the day has everyone tired so switching up your photoshoot time might be the best!

You all know I love an intimate elopement in the mountains, but an intimate backyard wedding is up there on my list too… Definitely when your backyard looks like this haha! There was so much thought put into each each detail and decoration of this wedding that I was just in awe of. Dreaming of warmer days in the mountains 🥲 nearly 6 months later and I’m just getting around to sharing more from Krista & Omar’s day in Big Bear last fall. While warm summer & fall days in the mountains are a popular time for eloping, the risk of being affected by wildfires (especially in recent years in Southern California) is high. Once again, we had to pivot at the last minute due to the extension of the forest closure last year — something that’s been an annual occurrence for the last several years. A Winter elopement in Shenandoah National Park — This stunning elopement happened this past November during sunset, which is why there is such a beautiful orange glow in some of these photos. We all hiked to Hawksbill Summit in Shenandoah National Park for their super sweet elopement ceremony where they read their vows to each other and exchanged rings. A rainy sunrise elopement along Shenandoah National Park~ This beautiful elopement happened during the fall season in October, as you can probably tell with the colors of the changing leaves. We started their elopement by taking sunrise portraits along Skyline Drive, it was a little rainy and foggy but wow did it make for a great atmosphere! Then they had a few family and friends join them for their sweet elopement ceremony. After the ceremony, they all headed to a spot to cute cake and enjoy time with one another. This elopement was beautiful in every way possible! To begin the ceremony, Brianna & Phil walked down the "aisle" (which was really a stroll in the woods to their family, friends, and officiant waiting for them on the side of the lake) to the Bridgerton soundtrack, which may or may not have made me cry. During their ceremony the sun came out from behind the clouds which made for the most beautiful golden-hour light. For a fun and different way to include two-becoming-one, they blended wines together and drink after one another. Once the ceremony ended and we captured all of the bride and groom portraits, everyone went to Broad Porch Coffee in Luray where they had a beautiful, intimate reception. Planning your elopement? Think of how you envision your day. Not every couple wants an adventurous, hiking elopement. Some want a more relaxing and romantic vibe to the day. Either way, you just want to celebrate the love you share for each other together. I always suggest that my couples plan the elopement that they both want and dream of, then they can count on me to be right by their side helping them with anything I can!
