Well, I suppose I need to post a Doodle, eh? Sometimes life lifes and I don’t get to sit down and scribble goofery, or even draw any realism, which I have been known to do. 🤣 Lately it’s been sharpening chisels, rearranging the entire house with the fam, and youth sports with the youth. Well, it’s going to take some time to get used to the new pen. I’ve seen so many of the artists I enjoy on here using a Sailor Fude de Mannen pen, and I decided to bite the bullet, as they say. Do they say that? The nib is wild, and a bit confusing at the first, but it’s wonderful and allows such a variety of line weights I’m super excited to have it. The writing was all done with the trusty old Cross fountain pen, but the scribbles were done with the new Sailor fountain pen. I used the included wee cartridges for this drawing, but I have a refillable converter to install. Excitement! My siblings started reading The Outsiders a while back and watched the movie, and they instantly became obsessed with it. I decided to watch the movie a couple months back, and I instantly became hooked on it as well. I also started reading the book about a week ago and I'm absolutely loving it so far: the characters, the setting, the themes of social class, loyalty, innocence, empathy; basically, the overall story just resonates with me so much.
