Domenica 12 maggio Ospite #2 Il Coro dell'IIS "G. Govone" di Alba nasce nel 2012 come parte della proposta didattica e formativa. Diretto dal M° Giordano Ricci, ha partecipato a numerose iniziative e manifestazioni corali quali la Rassegna Regionale dei cori a Verbania nel giugno 2012, ed il Festival Internazionali di Cori di Montecatini Terme negli anni 2013, 2014 e 2018. Dal 2012 collabora con il Liceo "Da Vinci" di Alba all'organizzazione di rassegne corali dei licei e giovanili, presso la Chiesa di San Domenico ad Alba, e si è cimentato nel marzo 2013 nell'esecuzione di colonne sonore di film, insieme all’Orchestra di Guarene diretta dal M° Paolo Paglia, presso la Chiesa di S. Giuseppe in Alba. Si è esibito nell'ambito a Torino per ACP presso il Borgo Medioevale del Parco Valentino (2014) e ad Alba nell'ambito di "Vinum". Domenica 12 maggio Ospite #1 Il Coro dell’IIS “Sebastiano Grandis” di Cuneo nasce come frutto del laboratorio “Cantare è per tutti”, proposto e destinato a tutti gli studenti della scuola, senza vincoli legati alla classe o all’indirizzo di appartenenza, né ad eventuali conoscenze musicali già acquisite. Il progetto, avviato nel corso dell’anno scolastico 2021/22 su iniziativa dei docenti Giacomo Vittone e Jessica Boretto, è ripreso nell’autunno del 2023, dopo un anno di sospensione, grazie alla collaborazione tra il direttore del coro Giacomo Vittone e la Società Corale Città di Cuneo, che lo ha affiancato nelle fasi di ideazione e strutturazione del percorso didattico-musicale, garantendo inoltre l’essenziale presenza del collaboratore e pianista accompagnatore Francesco Maria Corso. La proposta di un laboratorio di esercitazioni corali è stata finalizzata a raggiungere in modo trasversale obiettivi educativi e relazionali, in parallelo all’acquisizione di competenze musicali. Obiettivi principali dell'attività sono la gioia e la bellezza di fare musica insieme: la musica quindi come momento di condivisione e crescita personale e relazionale. Il repertorio è molto ampio e comprende brani classici, canti popolari internazionali, spiritual pop, nonchè note melodie di musical e film. Oltre ad offrire l'accompagnamento musicale agli eventi scolastici e del quartiere, l'ensemble ed il coro partecipano a concerti e tournèe che li hanno portati, negli ultimi anni, ad esibirsi in Svizzera, Italia, Norvegia, Austria, Belgio e Polonia. Il Coro è diretto da Reinhard Gust, docente presso il Gymnasium Carolinum, e valente musicista, direttore ed arrangiatore. Da bambino e adolescente è stato membro del coro giovanile della Radio Wernigerode, in seguito ha studiato all'Università Martin Lutero di Halle-Wittenberg. L’Associazione VocinCanto si è costituita nel 2010 su iniziativa di un gruppo di persone interessate alla conoscenza del canto corale, alla pratica della musica vocale d’assieme e all'approfondimento della cultura musicale. È attualmente un Coro femminile, formato da 27 coriste e diretto da Pietro Mussino. Il repertorio del Coro spazia su diversi generi e periodi, dal canto gregoriano alla musica popolare. Fin dalla sua fondazione ha partecipato a diverse manifestazioni e iniziative corali. Pietro Mussino ha studiato Composizione, Direzione d'orchestra e Musica Elettronica presso il Conservatorio di Torino e Musica a Indirizzo Multimediale presso il Conservatorio di Bologna. Ha frequentato numerosi corsi e accademie dedicati alla direzione di coro, alla didattica della musica e alla tecnica vocale. Ha cantato in diversi cori e gruppi vocali partecipando a numerosi concerti, rassegne e stagioni in Italia e all'estero. È autore di composizioni originali e arrangiamenti commissionati da diversi ensemble vocali e strumentali italiani e stranieri. Da diversi anni tiene corsi e laboratori di alfabetizzazione musicale e formazione corale per adulti e bambini. E’ stato docente a contratto presso il Conservatorio di Torino e presso l’Università degli Studi di Torino. I also sang while I was at the Festival Of Voices. 🎶 The first event was a lovely morning of carol singing at the Christmas In July session. (A warm up for The Jingle Belles Singers? 😆) Then I sang in the A Cappella choir. We did three beautiful songs - Blessing, Danny Boy, and Higher and Higher. We love when past students keep in contact with their news! Former student and choral programme member Markuss Izotovs moved back to his native Latvia a couple of years ago. We were thrilled to hear from Markuss and his mum Ilze this week with news that he has continued with his singing and has joined his School Choir and a local adult choir in Latvia. Markuss would like to extend a 'big hello' to his friends in the choral programme and hopes to maybe meet them all very soon! Last summer we sang at Blythburgh Church in Suffolk. This summer we're heading to Salle Church in Norfolk, which has the most beautiful acoustics imaginable. Come and sing with us. We're now recruiting for our choir. Rehearsals will take place in Norwich, Brighton and online from May onwards. Open to all, no experience required. Members of the SETU Choral Programme team have been working with local school choirs and the Waterford Teachers Centre for the past few weeks in preparation for our Schools Choral Day on March 3rd and 10th in the Chapel, SETU College Street Campus.
