It's now at a lower ride height and has a front splitter and side skirt kit as well. 🥱🥱🥱🥱 The weather was truly horrible today and the last thing I felt like doing was working on the ground under a car. I went to install the exhaust centre section and looked at the tailshaft. This reminded me that when I had the clutch done, I didn't have new tailshaft bolts so they reused the old ones. I ordered new ones and they've been sitting on the shelves of speed now for 2.5 years. So that got done. I then, finally, worked on the exhaust install. If I'm honest, I don't really want to have to do that ever again and I'm still not finished yet with lots of adjusting to go. My "too old for this shit" body aches everywhere and I'm shattered. For those looking for a bit of closure on the exhaust stud saga, I managed to get the broken tap out but I wouldn't say I'm proud of what I had to do to get it out. But I was running out of options considering the car is stuck at home on stands and I figured I could nut and bolt that one hole if required. Downpipes prepped for install with O2 sensors swapped over and cut down to accommodate the 70mm to 60mm reducers to attach to the standard exhaust. I've managed to get all of the broken studs drilled out and 5/6 are ready to go. 🔆🔆🔆🔆 Experiment time. I hate the sound of the stock exhaust and with the new downpipes the increased volume will make it even worse. It desperately needs a pipe crossover of some sort and after extensive YouTube research, I decided an x-pipe suited my ears more than an h-pipe. Then I heard about a growing trend with Mustangs of double x-pipes. I mean if one is good, surely two is better, right? So I ordered some bends and my deadset legend of a mate @fantapants79 is fizzing them together for me and progress has been solid! 🟡🟣⚫️🔴 Meaningful progress again finally!! Installing the front suspension would be a piece of cake with two people and a hoist. One person laying on the ground trying to line up bolt holes, not so much......I did receive valuable help from @trevormccarthyart with the strut top bolts which would have been quite the mission solo! Front suspension about 75% reassembled. New Lemforder lower control arms and 034 Motorsport front upper adjustable arms in. Rear upper arms left out for now as I've got new Lemforder inner and outer tie-rod kits to go in still.
