CALLING ALL MINI BIKE PEOPLE: Saturday, April 20th will be a day for us to ride ONLY mini bikes on the flat track at The Master's Motoplex. The track is open from 10:00a.m. - 5:00p.m. and we'll be getting started at roughly 11:30a.m. so that I have time to prep the track in the morning. Please message me if you have questions or need help with anything before this event. We're going to start having mini bike events at this venue and this is going to be our trial run. There will be 5 riders minimum coming with me and we'd like to start making this into something big, because it's affordable and crazy fun. Race Report Cycle Jam 2023 Lots of excitement from this weekend at Road Atlanta. Showed up on Friday to watch the endurance race and met Josh Hayes! Lots of fun watching some fast guys out there. My first race on Saturday I finished 2nd in class after running off in the gravel in turn 10a. I was able to keep the bike up and rejoin. Just before my second race on Saturday all racing was stopped because of a fire that happened down in the esses. A bike caught fire and the tire wall burned for a long time. Everyone was okay but the last races of the day were moved to Sunday morning. On Sunday I was able to go 2 seconds faster by the final race with some setup changes and dropped a 1:44.1! I finished 3rd overall in that race and was able to get a total of 3 class wins and one 2nd place for the weekend! I got a lot of footage from my GoPro on my helmet that I will be sharing soon. Thanks the #purplehazeracing , my parents and all of our sponsors and the awesome work of the Road Atlanta staff and local firefighters to get the fire put out and working late into the night to get the track repaired. Another shoutout to people that make my race team possible: Kevin Godwin and Bailey Mullis have been by my side since 2015. I worked for Kevin for about 4 years and learned how racing worked. We've traded skills, tested theories, and spent many nights working on things well past midnight, all in the name of speed. We're both now inching closer to the next level in our sports, and it wouldn't be fair to leave Kevin and his crew out of my journey. Bailey has been a solid backbone on and off the track for Kevin and I, even during the short time I raced cars.
