Este es uno de esos discos que a primer golpe de vista llaman la atención. No suele ser algo muy habitual una banda que se llame Colegio con una portada tan naif, y extraña más aún cuando es es una co- edición a cargo de varios sellos especializados en el punk y sus variantes. Dicho esto, Colegio es un power trío de Zaragoza formado por Bertrand Grave a la guitarra/voz, Jorge al bajo y Boli a la batería. Lo que nos encontramos aquí son nueve temas que beben del punk pop ramoniano, de Los Nikis, Polansky y el Ardor, los primeros Siniestro Total o de bandas más contemporáneas como Campamento Rumano o Metralletas Lecheras. El gamberreo comienza con "Ya lo sé", ya desde el primer momento se nota la influencia ramoniana, bronca, guitarreo y marcha sin mayor pretensión. Aunque el aire heredero de los neoyorquinos sigue estando presente, en "Burbuja" también nos encontramos influjos esquizoides de la onda siniestra y unos colchones de teclados muy nueva oleros. Con "Me da igual" nos recuerdan poderosamente a Los Nikis, sencillez y ruido garagero con una quedonas melodía vocal que mete ambos pies en terrenos poppies. "Fiesta salvaje" es un medio tiempo en el que encontramos también influencias del noise rock, si no fuera por sus quedonas melodías vocales bien podríamos estar hablando de una línea estilística en la onda de Pixies o Pavement. Desconozco la vida personal de los componentes, así que hay que presuponer que el pildorazo de spiz punk llamado "Nací en el 2000" se refiere a ellos mismos. Seguimos con "Va hacia atrás" que tambien nos transmite influencias de bandas británicas en la onda de Buzzcocks o The Undertones. "Quiere volar" nos mantiene con la dinámica tan ruidosa y animada, volviendo además con las pinceladas de teclados que le dan un toque muy psycho. En "Tu gran día" se muestran un poco oscuros, tanto que en ciertos momentos recuerdan a la escuela de Parálisis Permanente, algo parecido ocurre con "Tierra", que pone fin al disco de una forma muy inquietante e hipnótica. Estamos ante un gran trabajo que parece parido en mitad de los ochenta. No os dejéis llevar por las primeras impresiones y dadles una oportunidad.

Vol.1" es un ep de seis canciones en su línea habitual: diversión, melodías pop vestidas de sónica punk, reminiscencias a Ramones, Los Nikis, Buzzcocks, The Jam, The Undertones o similares. Todo ello con unas letras muy desenfadadas, a medio camino entre los freak y el gusto por la serie B. "Thelma & Louise" abre fuego con un bailongo corte colorista y buen rollero: "Sabes que es mejor irnos de aquí, hagamos como hicieron Thelma y Louise". Le sigue "El peor del mundo", con una similar sónica ramoniana, pero efectiva....por que es lo que cabe esperar de F.A.N.T.A. a estas alturas de la película. "Jorge y María" es un medio tiempo con aroma garage power pop que sirve de antesala para "Como Charles Manson", que mezcla el influjo del punk '77 con las melodías vocales tan bubblegum. Con "Estrella fugaz" pisan el acelerador para volverse más dinámicos antes de dar por finalizado el viaje con "Vampiro energético", igualmente potente, guitarrera y pegadiza. Fresquito pero muy breve, se echan en falta más canciones, pero que todos los problemas fueran ese....

Poquito antes de acabar 2023, los noruegos The Hallingtons publicaron su nuevo trabajo. En "Guilty of Robbery", el power trío de Oslo nos ofrece un ep de cinco canciones de pop punk. El referente de Ramones está más que claro durante todo el trabajo, pero tambien encontramos influencias de The Beach Boys o Weezer, sobre todo a nivel de melodías. El mismo tema que da título al trabajo es el encargado de abrirlo, "Guilty of Robbery" es un corte de marcha y guitarreo ramoniano con un pegajoso estribillo propio de la escuela Joey. Tal es la influencia de los de Queens, que algunos pasajes de "Cuba" nos evocan muchísimo a clásicos de la talla de "Havana Affair", no pueden negar de donde vienen. Por otra parte, en "Last day of Summer" también encontramos influjos de bandas pop punk como Blink 182 o la primera época de Green Day. Una canción colorista, como el espíritu de la banda, de esas que te hacen mover los pies y te sacan una sonrisa. Aunque el concepto y la sónica de"I met her on a saturday" no sorprende, es movida, marchosa y resulta efectiva. Muy surfera y con esas melodías poppies propias del estilo. "PT Sadist" pone punto final al viaje con la misma potencia con la que empezó, sencilla y con un punto ye yé. Tanto si os gustan Ramones, como Airbag, Fanta, No Picky y similares, esta es vuestra banda.
