Last week the members of WeWork enjoyed a presentation on the unusual topic of feet. Verity Wright from Sydney Sports Podiatry turned the bland topic into a interactive and fun session on feet appreciation. By the end of the talk each member was empowered with knowledge on how to better care for their feet and gained an understanding on their importance to over all health and wellbeing. To that end we learnt that in an average life span our feet will take us 4 times around the world. One of the key messages was 'prevention'. Verity spoke about the importance of getting your feet checked regularly to prevent injury just like we get our teeth checked to prevent fillings! She stated that a check up could pick up; early onset of arthritis; buras; corns; low back discomfort; tibilais posterior dysfunction; bunions and developing joint issues. me&my on behalf of the WeWork members would like to thank Verity for her informative and interesting talk.
