Exploring the multichromes of the @danessa_myricks Lightwork Volume 5. I have created 2 fun looks. The shift is really pretty in different lighting so it's hard to capture. The 1st look I mainly used 'Fearless' all over the lid. It shifts orange/peach/green/iridescent shades. 2nd purple and green look I used 'Protected' and 'Abundent' over the lid. I thought I needed my PMG Artistry Wand under it but upon applying I realised it was not needed as the formula is enough to adhere to the lid and pop!- which is great. For the mattes I used my ND Gold Palette. And another 3 looks 😍 using Fall Romance by @anastasiabeverlyhills Am I mad for this palette? Yes. The 1st look is from today and I used Leather in the crease and Moonlight all over the lid. Is Moonlight a great eyeshadow? In comparison to other ones in my collection no but it is really pretty and special in this palette amongst the other grungy shades. It is a hard pressed formula so it doesn't pick up so well with a brush so I went in with my finger. I used my Mac paint pot as eyeshadow primer and my @patmcgrathreal artistry Wand for the shimmer primer. The Wand works great and makes the shade pop and zero creasing or disappearing acts. The last look I also used Moonlight for a halo eye and applied it lightly in the centre. I think the more negative review I see about shades I am more compelled to use them myself and see how I get on. You always know what quality you’re getting with the midis and I have no regrets. A big part of her success when it comes to an oversaturated eyeshadow palette market is that she listens to feedback and she doesn’t just keep releasing the same colour stories over and over and I admire her for that!
P - Pat McGrath Mothership VI Midnight Sun. I really like the end result of this palette, but find the matte shadows rather stiff to work with. I’m really only keeping it for a few shades, namely Blitz Violet Orchid. I’m trying to come to terms with the fact that I don’t really like the PMGL formula (with a couple exceptions, namely the Celestial Divinity collection), which is a shame because the Mothership palettes — at least the first few — are so iconic. Brush: @maccosmetics 126SES Blush: @patmcgrathreal Fleurever Nude Palette shade Naked Peony I got this brush a few years back when Mac released this beautiful collection. It's a great multi tasker synthetic paddle brush. It gives the option of using both sides for different products. I've used it mainly for blush then I use the side of it to apply highlight ✨️ it's also great for applying the Hourglass powders for a seamless look 💕 I can swish the brush around in all the powders and glide it over the face knowing it won't look too much. The palette is becoming a favourite as the powders blend so beautifully and are not too harsh on my skintone. I hope Pat releases more styles like this of 3 in 1 face palettes. The blush is that perfect pink pop that compliments my makeup each time I use it. MOTD posts to come using this sweet palette. ⭐️ REVIEWING MY JANUARY 2023 PURCHASES 1 YEAR LATER… PART 2/2 ⭐️ 🌹Pat McGrath Luna Rose Liquid Eyeshadow - A stunning light pink sparkly shade! I really love how this looks on the lids and it’s so easy to apply and blend out. I don’t have oily lids so I’m not the best person to review liquid shadows in terms of their longevity but this formula lasts a fairly long time on my normal lids. However overall if I had to pick between these and the Lisa Eldridge Liquid Lurex shadows I would recommend the Lisa Eldridge’s ones - you get less product but I prefer the packaging and the brand overall! 🌹Pat McGrath Iconic Infatuation Palette - My second palette from PMG labs and although this doesn’t contain any ‘special shades’ I still really like it. This collection was right up my alley and was way more neutral than what she normally comes out with. I enjoy the mattes and shimmers both are superb quality. I’m not the biggest lover of PMG as a brand but credit where credit is due this is a gorgeous 6 pan palette and I don’t regret it! I don’t think you would be disappointed in the quality!

The artwork is beautiful and the palettes are a sturdy cardboard. Looking online I first thought the Blush and eyeshadow palette looked enormous but in real life its not too bad! Any bigger it would be ridiculous though for the amount of shadow you get. Stand out shade Citrine Envy 💚 I wet my brush with Fix+ and went in to the shimmer that I had saved from the palette. I had put it on baking paper and when I dipped my wet brush in magic happened ✨️ It just glided on the lid like cream and stayed put all day. So I guess I wouldn't have tried this if the shade hadn't been broken! 🙃 I ran the shimmer along the lower lash line aswell. 🌟 Pat McGrath Celestial Odyssey 🌟 @patmcgrathreal My black Friday Pat haul has arrived (more to show later 😀) and unfortunately for me the beautiful green shade Citrine Envy arrived broken 😢 there was green shimmer everywhere. I was able to salvage some shadow particles though and tried my best to clean it up without poking into any of the other shades because imagine 🙄😳 Long story short got on to customer service straight away and they were wonderful and rectified the fault. I have seen others who have also had this shade broken. It probably should have been pressed a bit firmer in the pan. @patmcgrathreal Mothership XI Sunlit Seduction I filmed this look today for an upcoming Brand Review on Pat Mcgrath that will be up next Friday on my YouTube Chanel as part of ELLAMAS. I used the Mothership XI because this was my least favorite Mothership and ranked very very low in my overall collection - and still does. I mentioned this palettes even today I my Best Christmas Palettes Video on YouTube and I stand by it - it is in my opinion a pretty Christmas color Story. Warm, reddish-pink, gold, sparkly and pretty. But what is it with this quality. I even had to correct my initial ranking in the quality category from 7/10 down to a 6/10. The mattes are so so good. I love them I want to lick them I want to be in them. But the „special“ shades that aren’t even special baked anymore - just pressed flakes - are just the worst. It’s like bad bad indie quality and I don’t know why the brand does this. I had to reapply the Blitz Crimson Shade (I wear it on the outer half of my lid) two times because it flaked off my eye. Like fell down. Not after application - 30 minutes later. There was a clear patch of skin showing and a flake of the shade on my face. TWO TIMES. It is such a shame and I really hope that next year, PMG will go back to the roots. She nailed the mattes and not it’s time to get back to special baked shades that we are all willing to pay 120€ per palette for. So it's the end of September already. And I'm still having a backlog of images for my August/early September palettes 😅 And one of them happens to be my @patmcgrathreal Rose Decadance. This is a 6-pan palette with rich pink and coral shades. Perfect for summer looks. I did enjoy the palette, both for eye looks as well as blushes. The coral shade in the middle ams the mid-tone pink shade at the bottom left corner are great blush shades. I found this palette versatile enough for several looks. And I enjoyed the shimmers too. I could do 1 and done looks with the mattes since they are deep enough for my skintone. And if you know the mattes in a PMG palette, then you know how beautiful they are to work with. So I am not disappointed that I got it.
