I had a lovely day in London yesterday with Bailey @bailey_bear_buddies. Almost exactly a year to the day when we accidentally bumped into each in Belgravia, London, we returned to look at the free street flower show put on for Chelsea Flower Show week. It was lovely to see Bailey again and we spent some time wandering round the flowers although we agreed it wasn’t as good as last year. We didn’t get round it all as it was quite hot and time was getting on but we saw most of it. Gestern mussten wir früh aufstehen und erstmal mit ins langweilige Büro fahren. Zumindest ist die Aussicht ganz schön 🥰. Auf dem Weg zum Plüschietreffen bei @emma.und.ihre.bande sind wir so nass geworden, dass Emmas liebe Menschin mich kräftig abtrocknen musste, sonst hätte meine liebe Leonie mich wohl auf Abstand gehalten 🤭. Wir wurden von einer großen Delegation empfangen: Emma, Maxi, Schafhilde, Hator und natürlich Leonie sowie die Gäste Mian, Miro und Slim. Hator und Purzelchen haben ähnliche Vorlieben und deshalb bekam Purzelchen von Hator einen selbstgemachten Likör, der sogar den Abend überlebt hat 😂. Es gab auch so ein grünes Getränk, das haben wir großzügig der Menschin überlassen. Purzelchen hat ausgenutzt, das Leonie und ich abgelenkt waren, und hat sich auf das köstliche Essen gestürzt: Frankfurter Grüne Soße mit Eiern und Kartoffeln - einfach Mega!!! Dann Spezialsahne, die sollte auf die Erdbeeren. Hmmm, alternativ ging da auch ein Salted Caramel Likör, der war saulecker 😋. Hator hat wohl etwas zu viel gekostet. Emmas Menschin hat das alles toll vorbereitet, Danke nochmals 😘😘😘. Auch für die tollen Schuhe, da hatten wir Glück, dass die keinem in Emmas Bande so richtig passen. Wir haben dann beschlossen, dass Purzelchen die braunen Lederschuhe bekommt und ich kann mit Leonie im Partnerlook gehen. Rosa steht mir doch, oder? Our last two days in Bratislava 🇸🇰 were absolutely insane 🤩! We explored the old town 🏰 with @misusa94 🐭 and drank Slovak Hugo Spritz 🤪🥂. Which lead to a great idea that we visit 3 different ice cream parlors 🤣🍦🍦🍦!!! The first one (Arthur🍦) had 4 sugar-free flavours available 🤩, so mommy took 2 scoops there 😆. Granny took the “Čumil” flavour - we had no idea what it was, but the girl working there was actually Slovenian 🤣🇸🇮 and she explained that it’s like “gibanica with strawberry” 🤭. Everything was delicious 😋😋😋. And later, auntie let me try some of her grape-flavoured ice cream too 🍇! We saw this huge shopping centre Eurovea 🛍️ from our apartment window, and we were finally able to explore it 🤣 on our last day! There were some great finds 🤭 - Krtek socks 🧦, lots of expensive diamonds 😅💎 (mommy ended up buying a less-expensive moon necklace 🌙) & a fabulous food court where we spent some quality time 🤣🤣🤣!!! Grandpa requested that we bring him beer samples 🍺🍺🍺 and we also took some knedli home (so we can remember this amazing trip again, when we cook them) ❤️! And to end this trip with a BANG 💥, we found a Hundertwasser McDonalds 🍔🍟 on the Austrian autobahn 🚗😆. Just a short drive north of Bratislava 🇸🇰, through the lovely countryside 🌳🌳🌳, lies the beautiful Červený Kameň Castle (Red Stone Castle) 🏰. My friend @misusa94 🐭 has been here so many times, that she could be our personal guide 😎. Wooooow 🤩🤩🤩, Castle Lednice (Zamek Lednice) 🏰 is one of the most fabulous places I have ever visited 🥰, and I’ve definitely never seen anything like it❤️! Thank you for taking me here @misusa94 🐭, we need to come back to explore more (or take over) 🤣🤣🤣! There are several tour routes through the interior (we went on 2: Children’s room with the Museum of marionettes & The Representative Rooms) 🤗 - you can see more of it in the videos at the end 📽️! We also took a photo with the oldest bear in the castle 🧸🏰 (I am pretty sure that was against the rules #plushiesbreakingrules 😅)! And I wanted to share a group photo of all the important human ladies in our lives ❤️❤️❤️! We didn’t have time to explore the gardens 🌸, but I am so happy we were able to visit the beautiful Palmhouse too 🌴!!! In the last two weeks, we’ve been in five different countries, and that too not always easily! So you can imagine how our minds are all over the place! We forgot to share with you all one of the unexpected high points of our trips though: a PLUSHIE MEET IN POLAND! When we managed to cross the border from Ukraine to Poland and arrived in Warsaw, our dearest friend Chickens or @aventuras_de_pollo made time to see us for a cup of coffee and cakes! Since we live so far away from each other, this was a terrific opportunity for us to meet! We are so happy that we managed to do that in spite of some hiccups on the way! The reason for our Chester #plushiemeet last week was to say goodbye to our lovely friends from @kevintheminisloth before they go back home to Malaysia. And look at all these wonderful goodies I got from keV, the Kevinator and his family! As well as a special coffee and biscuit for our afternoon break, there were sweeties - including a burger for Waffle - and a very cute sandal keyring from the town of Malacca. Heute war ein so schöner Tag! Erst sind wir Bus gefahren und hatten Spaß an der Aussicht 😇. Dann haben wir in Altona @emma.und.ihre.bande getroffen. Emma hatte ihr Patenkind Saubastian und ihren Besuch Leonie dabei. An den Herzchen, die Paul Leonie mitgebracht hat, war Saubastian sehr interessiert 🤭 😋😇. Dann ging es gemeinsam ins Museum zur Ausstellung von Pixi-Büchern. Purzelchen war nicht so neugierig auf Bücher, der hat sich die Zeit anders vertrieben. Alle anderen fanden es großartig und wir haben spontan eine neue Plüschiebekanntschaft gemacht, @snoor.schnoor war auch in der Ausstellung! Es gibt ganz viele Pixi-Bücher über Teddies, richtig klasse finde ich das 👍🏻. While we were in Chester yesterday for our #plushiemeet , we visited an interesting but also quite gory museum called "Sick to Death." I was brave and learnt all about the plague and the history of medicine, but some of us hid in our travel pods, (naming no names...Callum and @nutmeg.emberfish ! 🙈🐱🦎) I can't show you many photos because they're not for all plushies, but I did meet this nice Plague Doctor who told me that his "beak" was filled with flowers because they believed smelling nice things would keep the sickness at bay. I went to Chester yesterday to meet my old friends from @adventuresofabear , @blightyfish , @nutmeg.emberfish and @kevintheminisloth . Part 2 of @faula.is.on.vacation 's visit to Zaragoza in January!! 1️⃣ Did you know that Caesaraugusta (Name of the city of Zaragoza in Roman times) was one of the most important cities in Roman Hispania? There are loads of super interesting remains in the city. We visited the museum of the Roman Forum and saw some amazing things, such as this huge mosaic, which was part of the floor of a Roman house. 🦥🦉🦥🥰🥰 2️⃣ It was so beautiful and detailed!! We loved it!! 🥰🥰🥰 3️⃣ We were also able to go into what used to be the sewers of the Roman city. It must've been stinky in there when they were still in use...! 🤣🤣🤣 4️⃣ There are awesome models of what the city must've looked like in Roman times. Is it me, or is it the right size for us plushies to explore? 🤭🤣🦥🦉🦥🥰 5️⃣ Another cool thing you can see in the museum is some remains of the actual walls from the Roman city. It's great to see how well preserved they are!! 👏🥰🦉🦥 6️⃣ We came across a plushie sized model of the Roman city market. 7️⃣ This is where people got together to sell and buy goods. Cesaraugusta also had a river port, which was very important for commerce and people transit. It can also be visited, but we didn't have enough time to go!! (Maybe we will next time Faula comes over?!) 8️⃣ Peekaboo!! 🤣🤣 9️⃣ You can also see what a stall at the market would've looked like. 🦉 I wonder if anyone sells cookies around here... 😅🤭👏 🔟 We got to the end of Faula and the gang's visit with an amazing meal, Ancient Rome style! Heute Mittag ging die Reise mit der S-Bahn los, wir sind zum Reinbeker Schloss gefahren, weil die Zweibeinerin von @august_will_reisen (@gesis_parelkasche) dort auf dem Ostermarkt einen Stand mit ihrem wunderschönen Perlenschmuck hat. Für uns ist es natürlich das Wichtigste, unseren lieben August zu treffen und wir durften uns in die Deko setzen und schön quatschen und Leute gucken. Purzelchen wurde von Augusts lieber Zweibeinerin ordentlich verwöhnt während unsere Menschen sich umgeschaut haben. Natürlich haben die vorher und hinterher ordentlich mit den Zweibeinern von August geschnattert, so haben sie uns wenigstens nicht gestört. August hat mir ein paar Romantik-Tipps gegeben, puh, das hört sich kompliziert an 😅. Die Menschen haben auf dem Markt ein sehr schönes Gänseei gekauft, hoffentlich passen die darauf besser auf, als auf den Osterteller! Der arme Hase hat vorgestern seine Ohren verloren 😱. Was für eine tolle Demo, so viele Menschen und wir haben liebe Plüschies getroffen. @emma.und.ihre.bande, Leonie von @fuxi2.0 und Vince haben mit uns die interessanten Reden gehört, zur Musik von Deichkind getanzt und sind mit dem Demonstrationszug mitgelaufen. Es wurde dann irgendwann sehr nass und wir sind in ein Café gegangen. Vince und ich haben etwas gealbert, wir haben nämlich beide magnetische Pfoten, da kann man toll posieren. Mit Leonie habe ich mich auch sehr gut verstanden 😍. Aber als der Cheesecake auf dem Tisch stand, musste ich Prioritäten setzen. Sie hat es mir zum Glück nicht übel genommen und wir waren ganz traurig, als wir uns verabschieden mussten. Now that I’m home again and reunited with Mo I can show you the pawsome gifts we received on our #plushiemeet last week. Firstly from @teddy_and_plueschie we received Lego cherry blossom flowers 🌸 to make which was funny because we gave them Lego sunflowers! 🌻 They also gave us this lovely wooden Easter Decoration, a cute crochet sheep to make up and a huge bag of jelly bears, we shall enjoy those. There was also a brush set and not forgetting the absent male human a little bottle of alcohol for him. Thank you beary much for our gifts and it was lovely to meet you for the first time as well. Next we have the gifts from @littlebear_big_adventures and firstly they gave me a towel. I had to give Little Bear a very Paddingtonesq hard stare at this point because he knows I hate baths! He hastily explained that it’s a beach towel, good recovery there 🤣 Anyway so as not to take any risks I decided Mo could have it and look @rose_y_bear there is a little teddy with a heart on the label #heartswithrosey The next gift out of the bag is also a towel but this is a safe towel as it’s made into a cute red bear. As long as I don’t pull the ribbon she will always stay a red cute bear. Her ribbon says just for you on it so I’m keeping her to myself and I’ve called her Rosa Rossa 🌹 Finally there was a big box of bath time gloop which Mum took (phew) and she was very pleased as she loves Rituals products and she loves pampering herself. From 1635 public mail was delivered by boys on horseback however it was very slow and they were often robbed and so an experiment with a horse drawn mail coach was undertaken on 2nd August 1784. The journey from London to Bristol to 16hrs, under the previous system it had been 38 hrs. This led to an extension of the mail coach service which traveled at 7-8 mph in summer and 5 mph in winter but as the roads improved it did rise to 10mph in summer. The mail coaches had an armed guard aboard to protect the mail and the coaches also transported passengers. In 1816 a lioness which had escaped from a travelling menagerie attacked the horses pulling a mail coach. The lioness also killed a dog but was then recaptured and all the humans aboard had taken refuge in a nearby inn and escaped unhurt. The arrival of the railways led to the demise of the rail coaches, the final London based coach service was in 1846 however in smaller towns this service carried on for longer. Hallo Plüschies, hier kommt der 2. Post zu unserem Treffen mit unseren englischen Freunden @littlebear_big_adventures und @abearcalled_arthur am Sonntag im Postal Museum 🏤 in London. Wir haben so viel über die Post im UK im Vergleich mit unserer Post gelernt. Bis 1965 zeigten alle britischen Briefmarken ein Portrait des jeweiligen Monarchen. Heute gibt es natürlich viel mehr Briefmarken. Und es gab früher den Hinweis, bis wann man die Post abschicken sollte, damit sie zu Weihnachten pünktlich ankommt. (Wir ersparen jetzt Kommentare dazu. Alle von uns haben ihre eigenen Erfahrungen gemacht.) Und ihr seht auf den Fotos, dass wir ständig miteinander geschwatzt haben und immer alles genau angeschauten . Briefträger im UK haben andere Uniformen, kein Gelb wie bei uns. In Bild 1️⃣ seht ihr, dass uns wenigstens die Hüte gepasst haben. Mo and I had a fantastic day today at the postal museum in London where we met @teddy_and_plueschie Teddy, Pluschie, I.See and Honig and their humans who had flown in from Germany for a few days and Little Bear, Sancho, Gris and Kui and their human @littlebear_big_adventures . The trains were kind to us today despite the overtime ban and we all made it to London exactly as planned. We had such a lot of fun in the museum, 10 bears trying out all the exhibits and activities and taking over several tables in the cafe created a bit of a stir and of course there was lots of climbing and rule breaking. I took lots of photos, these are the first few for now, more to follow tomorrow. Heute hatten wir ganz lieben Besuch von unserer Schneiderin zusammen mit @derliebetoni. Es wurde nach passender Kleidung für den #plushieopernball2024 von @baer.wien gesucht, der Dress Code "Pretty in Pink" ist eine echte Herausforderung. Einige Vorschläge waren wohl nicht ganz ernst gemeint, zumindest hoffe ich das 😬. Zuzu 🐾 and Faula 🦥 had a second meetup on January 6th which is an important holiday in Spain. 🫅🫅🏼🫅🏿 Faula and her sister Alana felt so honored that Zuzu invited them for dinner on this special day. 🥰 They met in Alcalá de Henares and Zuzu showed the sloth siblings the ancient city center where they encountered Don Quijote (pic 3 and 4). Zuzu went to the Convento de las Clarisas de San Diego and bought some candied almonds for Faula. 😋 The purchase process was quite interesting: Zuzu went to a wooden revolving window and answered the nuns with a prayer. 1️⃣ What a great joy it was when we were able to look into each other's beady eyes in fur for the first time. 😍😍😍 Of course, we also had to take a group photo with (from the left) King-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Elchi House 🫎, Parker 🤠🐻, Fermín 🐶, Sir Carl 🐻🟥🟦🟨, Alana 🦥, Faula 🦥, and Zuzu 🐾. 2️⃣ Zuzu served the whole gang a traditional roscón de Reyes 🍩.
