OUR EXPERIENCE: Both myself (Erika) and Joseph have grown up with many animals ranging from common to uncommon. We are very comfortable with cats and dogs and have the most experience with those. Erika has 10+ years of experience with horses as well. Small critters are no problem and we love all of them too. ABOUT US: Hello and welcome! We, Erika (33) and Joseph (34), call Vancouver, Washington our hometown although Joseph is originally from Oklahoma and Erika is originally from Oregon. We love kitties! And while we are home we help take care of Erika’s parent’s cats, Tatey and Titus. Although we don’t currently have any pets of our own, one day we plan to buy our own house and property with lots of room for our future furbabies! We are also both very comfortable with puppies and dogs of all sizes and breeds and getting out on walks is a top priority for us. Erika has extensive knowledge of horses and is very good with horse care to include leading in and out, stall cleaning, grooming, and horse exercising if desired. Both of us grew up with various small critters, so ferrets, rats, mice, reptiles, birds, etc. are all great to us as well! We don’t have a ton of farm animal experience, but if you give us directions we are happy to follow them! Both of us are very clean and organized, we tend to be more on the minimalist side with our belongings. We work as self employed Amazon Flex delivery drivers and would aim to be driving for 3-6 hours most days. Other than work, we enjoy playing video games in our spare time. On longer stays, we would likely bring our computers with us. We also enjoy taking walks and reading. The quiet is important to us as we both have fairly sensitive hearing so we aren’t interested in drinking, partying, or loud music. Erika also enjoys photography as a side hobby and would love to take what is likely considered to be too many pet photos! Thailer, Kenzo, Yoshi, Charlie, Joe and of course the infamous Kona. Thai is a Thai ridgeback, street rescue mix from Thailand. Kenzo is a Bernese mountain dog/poodle, Yoshi is a sheep dog/poodle, Charlie is a chocolate lab and the twin brother to his right —> Big Mocha Joe. Kona is a petite yet feisty and energized Australian Shepard, the glue that holds this crew together. . . They all appear so wildly different and certainly each have their own personality quirks. Charlie loves to hide off to the side and nibble on anything he can find whether it be wood chips, chewing gum or even a delightful turd or two. . . Joe is just a big ball of love who wants to be cuddled but he doesn’t realize how big he’s gotten and doesn’t exactly fit in your lap. . . Thai is locally an internationally famous. He struts proudly as the most handsome as locals and visitors gather for a photo. . . Yoshi is the mama of the crew constantly keeping an eye on everyone looking back waiting for Charlie to catch up and catching quick naps in the shade whenever she can. . . Kenzo, her little brother is several years now deep into the process of discovering what personal space is. If you’re trying to get something done or pet another dog, Kenzo will consistently make his presence known. His ability to be the loudest biggest, and most eager is equally matched by his softness and loving heart. There’s a perfect balance to each one of these Pups . . Their eagerness to greet one another makes my day as I watch them lean out window picking up a scent that tells them who’s getting picked up next. They will wake up from deep sleep half a mile before we get to their home because they’ll catch the scent of a familiar flower or tree telling them we’re getting close to home. I sense these pups know and feel a lot more than we give them credit for.
