“ 7 foot frame, rats along his back…” 💚 💙 We don’t talk about Bruno…. I had to draw this poor misunderstood character from the movie Encanto. But the idea I did was different… I used the colors from @olomarker for their 3 colors of the month, and used that as my only colors for this drawing. 💚 The idea behind Bruno was to make it like it was one of his visions that got shattered a bit like in the movie hence the white gel pen lines. 💙 Quite honestly, I REALLY like how this did turn out with the comic book feel but also kept true of the idea I wanted to do with the overall look! 💚 What do you think? "What I love about it: 🌱 Brush tip: It is of the best quality, bouncy, sturdy, and juicy. It is a pure pleasure to use it. 🌱 Blending: The ink of these markers takes a tad longer to dry, so it gives the user more time to make the coverage smooth and streak-less. Blending is seamless. 🌱 Pigmentation: The colors are vivid and can build up. I used only two skin tones here (I added colored pencils at the end because that's what I always do), but I was still very happy with the marker layer. 🌱 Odorless: It may sound like a minor thing, but it matters in the long run, and I appreciate there is no smell while using them. 🌱 Compatibility: They work with other alcohol marker brands just fine. 🌱 Sketchbook: The paper is super smooth and slick, which is great for alcohol markers. Colored pencil layers have almost no texture on this paper, which I consider an advantage because it makes the colors glossy and digital-like. Colors bleed through the other side." Who would have thought that 3 colors, and a little bit of inspiration can lead to this? 💙 Truly even still looking at this drawing done with the #olocolorsofthemonth it is really cool to see how this did turn out a looooot better then I thought! ❤️ Originally I was thinking of just drawing cotton candy since that what the colors reminded me of. But doing a bit of research for ideas, I saw people do drawings like this and I am like, “WHY NOT!! I’ll do my own character with that look too!!” 💚 So with the 3 colors (RV0.2, B0.3, and BV2.3) I came up with this character! I just, I am a bit wow by how soft she looks but also that fun style I really like! I do hope I can do more like this for it was just real nice to try something different! ❤️ Remember this: a sketchbook is a place for an artist to have fun like at a playground! Making friends with the tools you use and even making a mess with the characters you love to draw.
