Last day of 2023..simply my favorite view of the cutest whittle ears. Thankful for this amazing animal. Sorry for the lack of posts but I decided to give the car a good wash finally adding some protection coats after sitting for over 6 months to say she was dirty was an understatement I forgot to get a before and after shot so you'll have to deal with an after shot I've added some smoked rear lights as well looks good as new so happy with they way she looks now yes she's missing her rear honeycomb but that doesn't matter to me. Neon & I had the best time throwing our cards at something new this weekend. We are still in the process of rehabbing some pretty nasty inflammation on his stifle, so we took it easy & did trail and ranch riding this trip. While ole Neon is a veteran at the ranch riding, his rider is still pretty clueless.😂 I love this horse so much. He always puts a smile on my face even if he wants to be a little fresh in his lead changes. All I can do is giggle at him. Love you so much Nee Nee.🤍🤍🤍 #neeonlights #youmakemesmile

It’s been awhile since I’ve able to spend the afternoon with just me & my boy. We are usually holding the fort down helping Bella & Bunny after school. We escaped to my favorite spot on our property. So peaceful, quiet & still. I’ve been so grateful & blessed to have won a few World Championships, but this is what makes me smile the biggest. It’s times like the ones I had today…that the once 10 year old little girl, would escape the neighborhood life & sit in a field much like this one and imagine the far fetched possibility of living this life. This girl..this horse..they truly blow me away. Clean sweep of all 5 classes. She showed in her last class after 1:00AM. We got home at 2:30AM. She never wanted to quit(& believe me I told her she could scratch the last class😂). Her determination to be the best she can be in all areas of life, makes me smile. Let’s face it..this time of year is NEVER fun when you have a BIG show to get ready for. December & January brought more freezing temps & snow than I’ve ever seen. Soooo many times I’ve wanted to just throw in the towel & say negative things to myself. I’ve had a hard year rehabbing from a shattered ankle. It’s not been fun & I’ve doubted many times that we would even be ready. I’ve fought thinking I need to ride my horse harder, when in reality…THIS is exactly what he needs. I want him to enjoy the “process” just as much as I do. Accept where you are in life. Everyone’s journey looks different. Find joy in the little things. We all do this cause we love it. It’s been a LONG 7 months of waiting to get back in the show pen. Although the rehab of my ankle hasn’t been a fun road at all, it’s definitely been an eye opening experience. In typical Neon fashion, he was simply a rockstar. Having a horse you fully trust & know you can rely on is a pretty incredible feeling.
