I’m still riding high from the #NACOSummit I got tremendous value from the experience, particularly in the network and relationships that I was able to build with all manner of ecosystem partners: accelerators, angel groups, events, VCs, founders and community builders! The part that suprised me most was the engagement and presence of ambitious and passionate women determined to end the funding gap. The difference was palpable compared to previous years of going to investor events. We are reaching a critical mass and change will surely follow; we are all pulling in the same direction with the same goal - to increase representation of women at the Cap table, in the screening and selection process, and in policy and process discussions. The last couple of days has been a wild! We headed to Ottawa to attend the #NACOSUMMIT where Canada's innovation ecosystem showed up... was great to see some familiar faces, meet new ones and explore some of the amazing work from some of Canada's entrepreneurs. Very much appreciated the talks and sessions, fantastic panel discussions and plenty of opportunities to meet up with folks to share insight and best practices.
