There’s something truly magical about the first few weeks of parenthood. Every coo, every tiny yawn, every gentle touch holds a world of wonder and love. As someone who specialises in capturing these precious moments, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the serene beauty of at-home sessions, especially for first-time parents like this lovely duo I recently had the pleasure of working with. The adorable fur baby who stole the show during our session is Ned. As first-time parents, embracing this new chapter with their little bundle of joy, they wanted their beloved pup to be a part of the memories we created. Ned beautifully blended into the tender moments, adding an extra layer of warmth and love to each frame. One of the many joys of at-home newborn sessions is the tranquillity they offer. In the comfort of your own sanctuary, surrounded by familiar sights and sounds, there’s an unmistakable sense of ease that washes over both baby and parents. It’s in this cozy cocoon that memories are woven, tenderly crafted and safely held, to stand the test of time. At each session, I come prepared with all the essentials, ensuring that every moment is captured effortlessly. From soft posing pillows for those up-close snaps of your little one to a curated selection of outfits, nothing is left to chance. And yes, accidents happen — but it’s no big deal, I believe in creating a space where parents can simply be present, without the worry of additional chores looming over them. Perhaps the most cherished aspect of at-home sessions is the freedom they offer. There’s no need to tidy up or stage the perfect backdrop — your home, with all its quirks and charms, becomes the canvas for our journey together.
