Got invited to the launch of Monet & Friends Alive last January. It was an exquisite colorful sensory exhibit. When our outfits accidentally formed the Italian flag but we went to an exhibition on French painters. Oooops. Monet and Friends Alive was an exhibition featuring the Impressionism Era, which was a style of painting that captured scenes of everyday life. Painters during that era didn't paint in a studio. They painted outdoors and captured how natural light shone on their subjects -- which were landscapes and people going about their daily lives. The immersive exhibition runs until April 28 at the BGC Arts Center. Amazing discovery: During the rise of the Impressionism Era in France, Juan Luna was also in France and was being recognized as a talented artist.
