3 major marketing errors I made last year. ⚠ Hands up. Even marketers don't get it right all the time. And I'm not too embarrassed to admit it, either. I'm sharing these 3 mistakes so you can learn from the too. 1️⃣ I was too afraid to call out that I wanted to serve 6+7 figure professional service providers. I was scared to claim it. That was a huge mistake! Since I've claimed this in my brand strategy, that's exactly who I'm attracting. It's crucial to know who you want to serve and focus on them. Don't be afraid to be specific. 2️⃣ I was trying to be on every platform. And ended up spreading myself too thin. Plus, because I was trying to be on all of them, I wasn't really showing up fully anywhere. Once I decided to quit doing that and focus my efforts on LinkedIn, I saw a significant improvement in my engagement. 3️⃣ I hate my selfies. I'm very self-critical. So, I much rather being the one taking the photos! That meant I held back from sharing (homemade) photos of myself. I felt like I had to have a graphic or professional brand photography for everything. This year, I'm like, f*ck it! I started sharing my own photos, which has led to more authenticity from me and more engagement from my audience. Being a business owner is challenging, but it's the mistakes we make that help us grow. So, take my mistakes as a lesson and avoid them in your own business.
