Moonrise Over DC Another nice night for a moonrise overlooking the city from Virginia. Among the shooters there I had the good fortune to encounter @coznlinda and @valeriehoffmanphotography. The image here is a blend of 10 separate images taken over a 28-minute period. Pretty much the same post techniques as one uses for star trails. Moonrise, US Capitol Last night featured clear skies and consequently a very bright moon as it rose next to the dome of the US. Capitol. As most photographers know, this situation presents a difficult exposure problem. The dynamic range was 8 full stops between the illuminated dome and the moon.
