| Draconic | For years I have spoken about being a death faery. And that is a fact that is carved within my soul (well... spirit, i dont have a soul.) Nothing has or will change it. Like many fae i shapeshift, and a while back I talked briefly about my forms. My humanoid form that changes size. And my draconic form. Ive kept a lot of it to myself cause i dont want people to copy something so important to me. In order to be able to talk about my experiences, since they are a hundred times more powerful than that of my cat theriotype, i tried labeling myself as reptiles or dinosaurs or otters. But unfortunately nothing can hide the draconic existence of mine. Therefore I think ill finally bring it up again. The element of mine is water, therefore my draconic form is very visibly aquatic. I dont have rough scales like a dragon or crocodile, i have very smooth skin... like an axolotl or other amphibian. Feathery fur that covers large portions of my body. Large boney bird-like feet that are webbed and adorned with curved claws made for grasping fish. Im skinny and have bones jutting out of my skin, like a decomposing emaciated corpse, which displays my tie to death. My nose im not sure of. The teeth and long snout lined with huge sharp teeth are easy to feel. But the nose... could be sunken, or could be normal. I wouldnt know as i cant actually SEE myself i just feel my spiritual body and do my best to accurately draw myself. The two first pictures are the closest depictions of mine. A big difference from dragons is that I dont fly. I dont breath fire or CONTROL elements. Im a spirit and am not physical in any sense like the fictional dragons. Im just a spirit that looks like one and can manipulate physical elements in the same way human ghosts can. I do feed on death. And have most traits that ither water fae do. Including naiads and water nymphs and nokken and kelpies. Anyways, thats all for now. I wanted to share a quite update. (Reminder: Shifts are not something that every alterhuman experience, and doesn't make someone more or less of a Alterhuman🙏) *＊✿❀○❀✿＊* •-•°•-• Phantom Shifts •-•°•-• To say that i rearly experience phantom shifts about Barn owl is accurate, because i bearly experience them. Sometimes i do experience feeling/having talons or even feeling feathers around my neck and chest, and very very rearly wings on my back. Also i experienced having the "small" eyes of the barn owl, but this one is extremely rare and bearly happens to me, even tho when i experience it my eyea feel uncomfortable and way more sensible of the day light. •-•°•-•Mental Shift•-•°•-• I had experienced it 3 or 5 times, and for me is one of the most fun of all mental shifts, probably the fourth most fun. I normally just kinda stay still and move my head and eyes around the look better at everything, but somehow i also feel way more playful around my dog, like for example, one time i was sitting on the edge of the sofa, and i started throwing my dog plush around for her to grab and return it, it maybe doesn't sound that fun at all, but it is, trust me. •-•°•-•Sensory Shift•-•°•-• Is weird, but is very funny, because i only get the sight(? [03/23/24] 🌲Questioning a Theriotype long after you’ve awakened does not make you “Fake” or “Inexperienced”.🌲 . It is shoved on members of the community, mostly those that have been awakened for a longer period of time than others, to maintain and keep images of certainty for other members of the community to follow. They are expected to know what their kintype is, stick with it, and never question anything else. It is not outwardly stated, but it is in the actions of other therianthropes that you come to notice a decline in their presence with you if you decide to question something new, or even if your “main theriotype” that those know you as, changes. . What many fail to realize, is that >Identities change<. You may not have the same theriotype you did when you were 17 that you do when you turn 30. This goes for any and all ages! It is never a sign that you are fake and inexperienced when the theriotype people know you for turns out to not be who you are, and it should not be pressed for them to maintain an identity they do not believe they have anymore just for the sake of believability. Older Therians are allowed to question, just as much as newer Therians are. At any time, any place, any age- it is not on the community to determine someone’s believability, but rather to determine in what ways we can connect and understand each other. . 🐾Experience Therianthropy Offline🐾 • Therianthropy is, in my opinion, best experienced off of the internet. When you are alone, how does being a Therian impact you? What shifts, urges, etc- do you experience when the internet is not watching? . Lately I’ve felt that much of the community values constant posting and interaction from folks in order to actually be a Therian, but that in itself is far from true. If you only experience therianthropy through online prompts, then you will experience bias, identity confusion, and more. . Do you ever wonder why you may feel you are something, but it ends up being wrong? Perhaps you are seeing more posts and videos about a certain species or creature and decide that this feels correct? I personally give myself a month at minimum with offline time to experience my therianthropy; If what you felt is correct, is still correct to you, then cool! Now you know. If it ends up being a dud, then now you know. I rarely post anything short and unimportant. But just wanted to share how much my bed makes me feel safe. As an autistic adult and therian. It is my den. My safety. My place of rest. It smells like me and my cats. Its soft and comfortable. Thats where i do most of my grounding and my stress relieving activities. Ill watch movies, videos or podcasts and play on my nintendo switch. Ill cuddle my two cats and occasionally my dog. Ill bury myself in blankets and plushies. Its not a place im fond to share, unless its my pets. || February 26th 2024 - New Psychiatrist || Met my new therapist today, and I gotta say... she is amazing. Never clicked with one this quickly before. We spoke about me, my mental health, what I want to work on or need help with, what we want to focue on, and getting to know me a bit too. Also briefly talked about my history, but nothing in depth today since its our first meeting. Now that doesnt have anything to do with therianthropy, but I wanted to just share that before sharing what DOES relate. In the first 5ish minutes of meeting, we shared names. I told her my name is Alastair. And after she was like "You make me think of a cat, you know? I don't know thats just what I feel from you". And I burst out laughing. And told her thats what I represent myself with online (i didnt want to say theriotype for personal reasons.) And showed her my kinsona ref sheet. She laughed as much as I did. And was like "There was literally no way for me to even know that. I guess it just means this is meant to be." 😹😹 It was awesome.
