On 2/3/24, I attended a table read for a musical with which I was largely unfamiliar, at a church I had never been, with exactly 1 person I knew and 20+ strangers. I left that day feeling nervous and anxious. I had not done musical theater in two decades, had a very stressful job, and a toddler. It seemed… #impossible. One might say the #sweetestsounds I ever heard were still inside my head. But lo, the magic that this wonderfully eclectic, enthusiastic, hilarious, charismatic, supportive, and hard-working cast and crew created together was infectious, life-changing, and special. I am so grateful to have joined this project and to share the stage with my son. It was a labor of love and sorely needed. Every rehearsal, one of you reminded me, “ #thereismusicinyou.” I had so much fun laughing, dancing, singing, and butchering with all of you, one #lovelynight after another…And I like it so well that for all I can tell, I may never come down again. Some say 19 degrees is cold... I say it’s PERFECT!!! I have had many an amazing run at this exact temperature and this one was no exception!!! A nice easy warmup and then it was GO TIME! 6 x 400m at 7:30-7:45 pace with 200m recovery between each. As has been the case with all of my speed workouts I got faster as they went and the last one was even on a decent incline! One more run day left in my 8th week working with #coachjosh at @the_sneaker_store_new_hartford and my deload week will be complete. What an absolutely gorgeous afternoon for a run!!! 45 degrees!!! I wore shorts even! Week 7 of #sneakerstoreruncoaching with #coachjosh and today’s edition of #speedwork was no joke. This time it was 8 x 3:00 intervals at 8:30-8:45 pace with 1;00 recovery after each. I nailed it again too!!! I felt good throughout and may have run the cooldown a little too fast even. Oops! 😀 I ended up short of 6 miles because I couldn’t see the total distance on my watch. Lol! 😂 I also thought I was going to get rained on based on the first pic but it never did rain. 😊 #runstreakday12 was a great success!!! Tonight was my first speed work based run other than a race in a LONG time!!! It was awesome and I killed it! The weather was perfect too! 22:00 warmup then a walk break and 5 4:00 intervals with a goal pace of 9:00 with 1:00 walk between each then roughly a 19:00 cooldown.
