For the first time .. ever, I loaded film into a camera.... Shot a roll... Replaced the roll... Did that again .. and then developed those images. All for just under 100.00 I already had a Nikon F5 SLR camera but I'm just not a film guy! Since I work in a camera store, I have seen the volume of film processing go through the roof since lockdown... But I never saw the benefit. It costs a ton, you get back mostly mediocre images (unless you're being purposeful and have some specific things you want to do), and IT COSTS A LOT! Oh yeah, it's also shit for the environment. So why did I do it? Because I have an F5 and never used it. So now I can say I have. Will I do it again? Huge thank you to @sofi_ramirezcastillo39 for reminding me that I'm a light painter... A drawer with light... A photo grapher. You reminded me that understanding how light works and how cameras capture it allows me to think on my feet and try something new. These shots were made for @destinyworldwrestling Using your sparklers added a whole different challenge to using studio strobes or flashes.. Using a long exposure and manually firing a flash gave the results I was hoping for!
