✨That's right, Summer Training is kicking off! 🥳 ✨ Starting on the 7th of May, we will be training every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00 - 8:30pm. All female matching and non-binary players of any experience level are very welcome to our trainings. These sessions will be split into Lunar Squad and Nova squad. THURSDAY trainings will be Games-based with a focus on getting as many reps together as possible. These sessions will be all levels so we all get a chance to play together! International Women’s Day may seem like a token day for some but many forget that barriers still exist for women, including in sport. Although amazing strides have moved sport forward, it is still very much male dominated which can be quite intimidating for women and people who identify as women. ✨Dublin Gravity at Women's All Ireland Indoor Ultimate Championships ✨ Dublin Gravity sent two teams to Limerick to compete at AIIUC on the 17th of Feb. It was a very enjoyable day out for the club, with brilliant moments from both teams, and both teams impressively finishing in the top 4. Dublin Gravity X finished 4th, while Dublin Gravity Y finished 2nd 🥈 after a hard fought final against @rebelultimate . Thanks Rebel for a great game and well done on the well deserved win. Also thank you very much to everyone who bought something at our Swap Shop or donated to our collection for @yogasportwithrefugeeslesvos. Ranelagh win Siege!🏆 The laghds kicked off the season down in Sunny Sunny Limerick as we prepare for a busy European schedule. We topped the pool on Saturday after four very spirited matches against @sundrivesocial , @uproar_ultimate , @ucd_ultimate and @galwaytribe . The Sunday started the knockout stages, with a game vs @peltultimate in the quarter final. Winning that set us up for an epic encounter against BoGlo in the semi final, ending in a universe point win. After a hot start against XVI in the final, we traded out for the win. THE CLIFFS OF MOHER One of the most famous spots on the west coast are the stunning Cliffs of Moher. Located in the southwest of the Burren region in Co Clare (just south of Galway), these sea cliffs run for approximately 14km and rise up to 200m above sea level. Over 1.5 million visitors come to see the cliffs each year. It’s a beautiful spot and only a hop down the road from Galway. Bees sent a hive to the over to No Place Like Dome last weekend. Set in an amazing venue in the Connact GAA Air Dome, it was a tough weekend. We’ve come away from the tournament having learnt a lot, with a honey jar full of feedback from the team, and a plan for where the club is headed. Before the Christmas period we had great success at indoor mixed IVs held in DCU. Finishing 7th overall having played some great competitive games, a standout being a universe point win over the hosts DCU!! Our award winners for the tournament were, Sam - male MVP, Constance - female MVP, Andrew and Aislinn - MSP, and last but not least A game went to Elli.
