After trying to make it as an artist in Paris, Carl Fredrik Hill returned to his hometown of Lund in Sweden. He had been diagnosed with schizophrenic paranoia and lived with his illness isolated from the outside world for the last 28 years of his life in his home, cared for by his mother and sister. Until 1878, his pictures were full of light, characterized by harmony and idyll, while the pictures thereafter in the period of illness moves between strong extremes, from outlandish, deluge-like fantasy landscapes filled with frightened, deformed figures to paradisiacal dreamscapes. A WARM WELCOME FROM HOTEL PRO FORMA TO ERIK MEDEIROS! Erik Medeiros is a sound designer and mixing engineer. Erik is originally from Brazil and has worked with a wide range of artists and art forms across theatre, music, and visual arts. His work has been listened to in places such as the Edinburgh Festival, the Stedelijk Museum, Vega, the Royal Academy of Arts (UK) and the Theater Museum in the Hofteatrets. Erik holds a master's degree in Audio Production from the University of Westminster (UK). In his free time, Erik loves to read, drink coffee in cafes and, on occasion, go for a walk in the countryside. We are very happy to co-operate with Erik on the sound design for FLAMMENWERFER.
