しばらくSNSからすっかり離れてました。 勤務が多忙だったのもありつつ、世間の暗い話題を見てるだけでもストレスが積み重なってたようで、すっかり表現アイディアの枯渇で描けない状況だった。 描きたい色彩や街並はあるのだが、それが世のため人のためになる作品として届くのだろうか？無意識に壁にぶつかってた。 初期に描いた絵を眺めていて、左の作品は載せた当時になぜか他の絵より高評価だったが理由がわからなかった。 社会問題を題材にしても売れないし見向きもされないと感じているが、守りたい存在や守れなかった景観など多く題材が残っている。 ただ色を塗ればいいのではなく、未来にも過去にも光を照らして心の中にも色彩感覚を浴びせるような重ね塗り画を届ける意欲を育てていくことに時間をかけて向き合いたい。 I have been completely absent from social networking for a while. I was too busy with my work, and the stress of seeing all the gloomy topics in the world seemed to be piling up, and I was completely depleted of ideas for expression and unable to paint. I had colors and cityscapes that I wanted to paint, but I wondered if they would ever be delivered as works of art that would benefit the world and people. I had unconsciously hit a wall. Looking at my early paintings, I could not understand why the work on the left was rated higher than the others at the time I posted it. I feel that social issues do not sell and are not looked at as subjects, but there are many subjects that remain, such as the existence we want to protect and landscapes that we could not protect. あけましておめでとうございます。 A happy new year 2024. 昨年末からもう一つの仕事が多忙になり、並行して自分自身の表現題材についての疑問が明確になったため、筆を止めていました。 世間では暴力的な話題がたくさん目にして、自分の過去にもつながる事象もあって怒りが蘇るような影響で精神面でもやられていました。 何もしていないわけではなく、あえて過去の自分が抱え続けていた悲しみ苦しみと向き合って、本心でやってみたかった表現を確かめようと取り組んでいました。 そろそろ無理なく描けそうな状況なので、富士山シリーズに代わる新作を描いて、次の個展に向けて数を増やしていくつもりです。 Since the end of last year, I have been busy with another job, and at the same time, I had stopped painting because I had clear doubts about the subject matter I was expressing myself. I saw a lot of violent topics in the world, and I was mentally hit by the influence of events that were connected to my past and revived my anger. It was not that I was doing nothing, but I dared to face the sadness and pain that I had been carrying around in the past, and I was working to confirm the expression that I had truly wanted to try. Now that I am almost ready to paint without any difficulty, I intend to paint new works to replace the Mt. ふと思いついて、21年前に住んでいた町を歩いてみた。 当時の貧困生活は創作の種すら見つからず実績皆無で振り返ることもなかったが、あの頃死んだように生き延びてきた自分を労って理解して受け止めてみることが、感情の大荷物を下ろして次に進み出せるのかもしれない。 It occurred to me to walk around the town where I lived 21 years ago. アーティスト活動の他には配達業を掛け持ちしているのだが、この数日は業務量がピークで深夜帰宅が続き、絵筆を持つ余裕がなくなってた。 その間にも自分の本心を見つめ直したり絵を描く目的を探ったりしていたが、求められる画風と自身が描きたい世界観のバランス両立を模索し続けている。 本来は自分にも大きく表現したい色彩や空気感があって、十数年前からそれを音楽で作品化したかったのだが長期低迷で実績を全く作れず断念。 その活動転換を決断した2年半前から絵を描き続けて今に至るが、やはり根本的には音色で描ききれなかった世界観の表現を色彩表現でやりたいんだと痛感している。 ただ世間に受けて売れりゃいいという話ではないし、誰も見向きもされないまま終わってしまう前にやるべきことは、自分自身の色彩感覚を爆発させることではないか。 あの頃作りたかった世界すら光線と火花で爆破させるくらいの、現実拡張的空想コラボレーションアートを。 In addition to my artistic activities, I also work as a delivery driver, but during the past few days, my workload was at its peak and I was backing home late at night, leaving me with little time to paint. During this time, I have been reexamining my true feelings and searching for the purpose of painting, and I continue to search for a balance between the required style of painting and the world view I want to portray. Originally, I had a sense of color and atmosphere that I wanted to express in a big way, and for more than ten years I had wanted to create music to express it, but I gave up because I was unable to make any sound achievements due to a prolonged slump. 2 and a half years ago, when I made the decision to change my activities, I began painting layered on photography, and here I am today. I realize that fundamentally I want to use color to express a world view that I could not depict with tone. It is not enough just to be accepted by the public and sell well; what I should do before I end up without being noticed by anyone is to explode my own sense of color. 東京に住んで最初の勤務地が、晴海だった。 都営地下鉄勝どき駅は拡張工事中で朝夕の通勤時間は大混雑だったが、仕事が合わずクレーム勃発で1年半弱で退職した。 脱大阪後すぐに音楽活動引退に追い込まれて、絵を描く前で自己表現に蓋をした地獄の日々が続いてたのを思い出す。 久しぶりに駅前を歩いてみたが、怒りが湧いてくるよりもあの頃に想像もできなかった今の自分に安堵感があった。 My first place of work after living in Tokyo was Harumi. The Toei Subway Kachidoki Station was under construction for expansion and morning and evening commuting hours were very crowded. I left the company after less than a year and a half due to an outbreak of complaints because the work was not suitable for me. Crimson Sky / クリムゾンスカイ 【Re-painted】 木々を緑色に、空は明るいピンクに、富士山も青と白で、道路は思いきって黄色に変えて重ね塗りした。 この赤い空を描きたかった。やっと思い通りの色が出せた。 The trees were painted green, the sky was painted bright pink, and Mt. Fuji was painted over in blue and white, and the roads were drastically changed to yellow. I wanted to paint this red sky. 作風を変えようと試行錯誤の末、いつのまにか絵筆を持つ時間が少なくなってた。 完成までの時間が今まで以上に読めず、体力消耗もあり停滞。 過去作も売れる見込が立たず、これはどれだけ時間を掛けても新たな作品に向き合って完成を進めるしかないようだ。 すでに描いた絵も修正しまくってる。 あえて動画を撮らずに、単色で塗りつぶして全く異なる場面を描き入れようとしている。 作風が固まるまで相当長く時間がかかるから、しばらくはテスト扱いの実験作品になりそうだ。 While I was trying to change my style through trial and error, before I knew it, I had less time to hold a paintbrush. The time it takes to complete a work is more unpredictable than ever, and my energy is drained and I am stagnant. With no prospect of selling my past works, it seems that I have no choice but to face new works to complete them, no matter how much time I spend on them. I am also making a lot of revisions to the pictures I have already drawn. Without daring to take a video, I am trying to paint in a completely different scene by painting in a single color. Test Pattern 1. I wanted to try it, alcohol inks layer painting. やってみたかった、アルコールインクで重ね塗り。 下塗りした表面なら問題なくインクが載ることを確認。 裏地はジェッソを塗っていない部分に滲みが見られたが、絵的にはこのまま活用できそうだ。 I confirmed that the ink would go on the primed surface with no problem. 個展を終えて手応えがあったかといえば、それより改善点しか思い浮かばないと最終日から考え続けている。 もっと日常生活から色の溢れる生活をしようと、帰りに下北沢へ寄って古着屋を物色してきた。 今までの自分にない4着を選び、普段着でもポップアートを体感したいと早速行動に移したつもりだ。 I keep thinking from the last day of the exhibition that I can only think of areas for improvement rather than whether I got a good response after the exhibition. In an effort to make my daily life more colorful, I visited Shimokitazawa before on my way home and rummaged through a secondhand clothing stores.
