The Great Hambino is 6 months old today. So in celebration of this milestone, here are 6 things about everyone’s favorite Ham: 1) There isn’t a creature alive that he’s met and hasn’t loved. Especially his godmother’s greyhound, Marv. He’s a little obsessed. 2) Fetch is his favorite. 3) He’s grown to the point that he can no longer hide behind the toilet. Thankfully. 4) He refuses to potty in the backyard because he’s a social butterfly and wants to bark at and greet all of the humans and dogs that pass by in the front. 5) He gets so excited at night when I put him in the bed that he has to have toys to play with otherwise he’ll chew the blanket. This means we usually sleep with a couple of squeaky stuffies and a rope toy. 6) His preferred sleep spot at night is on the pillow…above my head. 🤣 Ham-a-Ram is a hoot and a half, and I sure am grateful he’s my sidekick. ❤️🍖
Today Chaplain Hammie brought some joy to the care center social workers, ate some King Cake crumbs at a Mardi Gras party with residents, greeted numerous family members, and assisted with a Bible study. Ham Bone is 3 months old! With that in mind, here are 3 places he loves to hide: 1) The bottom shelf of my little kitchen cart. He either chewed or pulled off everything I had stored on there so then I emptied it and he started sitting on it. I plopped a little dog bed on it and it’s his since become his “bunk bed.” 2) Under the couch, armchair, loveseat, and hutch. I look forward to the day when he’s too big to wiggle under the hutch, until then I’m putting a box under it to keep him out because that piece of furniture I worry he could get stuck under. 3) Behind the toilet.
