Tying up the story loop on the past year. Reflecting on the cycle that is ending and ushering in a new cycle of renewal. The promise of a new beginning. This is the circle of our lives. As the clock ticks away counting down the final moments as the year closes, I donβt really believe in making resolutions or grand wishing, but I do believe in setting intentions. I like to set intentions for the New Year rather than resolutions, because those can be riddled with judgment and shame. I prefer to set an intentional βthemeβ for the next cycle because that leaves room for our story to unfold in a meaningful and sometimes magical way. Then right at midnight, I like to do specific things. Symbolic actions. Rituals if you like. Kiss my husband. Whisper gratitude to God. Phone my children. Gaze into the serene stars above. Acknowledge that whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming to us from above. It's a simple way to embody the feeling of gratitude I wish to carry into the next cycle and set the tone of calm for the next chapter. Weβve all lived long enough to have a few chapters we wish we could erase, but for the most part we all want to write a story weβre at peace with telling. So, if you can, stop scrolling through everyone elseβs thoughts and think about your own before the clock strikes midnight. ππππ πππππ’ ππ π’ππ π πππ π’πππ πΈπΆπΈπΊ ππ ππππ? #strongeststory #hopefulforthefuture #welcomenewbeginnings #celebratehope #personalmomentsofreflection #gratitude #newyearcelebration #ritualsofrenewal #circleoflife #gentlyreleasewhatisnolongeryourstocarry #Journeyoflife
