Since Arendelle is based on Scandinavian cultures, I used Aquavit, a Scandinavian spirit, as the base spirit for both drinks in addition to fruit native to that region. Here are the recipes: Arendellian Summer 2 parts Aquavit 1 part Aperol 1 part lime juice 1/2 part lingonberry simple syrup 2 drops pink food coloring Gold luster dust Combine the ingredients in a shaker with ice. Strain into a chilled Nick & Nora glass. Arendellian Winter 2 parts Aquavit 1 part Blue Curaçao (or Triple Sec/Curaçao and 1 drop blue food coloring) 1 part lime juice 1/2 part gooseberry simple syrup Combine the ingredients in a blender with ice. Pour into a chilled goblet. Here's the recipe for the fruit syrups: 1 cup sugar 1 cup water 8 oz lingonberries or gooseberries Add the sugar, water, and fruit to a pot on medium heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook for about 20 minutes. Let cool. Strain the syrup into a jar or container, removing all of the fruit. Upon seeing the first Frozen film when I was thirteen, I thought it would make an awesome stage musical- well, imagine my surprise and excitement when @frozenbroadway debuted almost five years later! Frozen works so well as a Broadway show that it’s strange for me to think that it even started out as a movie. Not only that, but it’s got incredible sets, beautiful costumes (especially that of the princesses, my goodness), mind blowing special effects, and music! There are a lot of new songs written for this show, and I love nearly every single one- and that’s saying something, cause it’s not normal for me to like almost every song on a cast recording 😅. One of my favorites is one sung by Elsa, as she wonders if it’s “dangerous to dream” that she could reconnect with Anna should the coronation go smoothly, and the actress playing her did such an amazing job of singing not just that one, but Act 2’s “Monster” and of course, the fan-favorite Let It Go, which I loved her take on as well. Anna’s journey from sheltered princess to the sacrificial heroine we see in Act 2 is performed beautifully by her actress too. Kristoff’s actor was fantastic and Hans’ actor was as well! Literally everyone was so good that it’s hard to list them all haha. The tale of a family torn by secrecy and silence but ultimately restored by the sacrificial nature of true love reminds me a lot of our relationship with the Lord, and how He ultimately pursues us despite our efforts to run from Him. I had the MOST incredible experience attending the Frozen Broadway Musical. The show was outstanding; the artistry, the performers, the music, the costumes, were unbelievable! The cherry on top was getting to see Brian Martin @btmartz who played Pabby afterwards, where he signed my program and took us on a backstage tour!! I got to see the REAL costumes and the sets and how it all works backstage!! It was a dream. I need to pinch myself! And that’s a wrap! Our final performance of Frozen was last Sunday. Since January, when I first convinced a local school to let me costume their production of Frozen: the Broadway Musical, I have spent almost all my waking hours obsessively working on the show. In the final two weeks leading up to it, I was getting four hours of sleep a night, teaching all day, going straight to rehearsals, returning home to sew, and then getting up the next morning to do it all again. I am beyond exhausted (even almost a week later), but so, so incredibly grateful. Among the cast were several former students of mine - including two I worked with way back when they were in first grade. Now they’re in high school (WHAT)! I also got to meet plenty of students and staff members I had never worked with before, and it really felt like such a privilege to get to know them as we worked together to make this production happen. I’m working to find pictures and write posts about each of the costumes, and hope to start sharing soon. But before any of that, the biggest of thank yous to my mum @sewistseams . I could not have done this if she hadn’t jumped on board and been my partner in the craziness. She is amazing, talented, and incredibly patient. Also, a shoutout to my dad for never complaining that our entire house turned into a costume workshop/ fabric explosion for several months as we created more than 60 costumes. Last year, I thought I’d lost my love of sewing and costuming. I feel so lucky to have had an opportunity that brought it back to life. ❄️ #frozen #frozenthemusical #frozenbroadway #frozencostume

It’s blurry because it’s physically impossible to capture the pride and excitement and emotion I felt watching her be the star I’ve always known she is, and because we seem to vibrate on a higher level when we are together. She, and the rest of the cast of the Frozen tour, are not to be missed, and bring a whole new life to this story that so many of us hold so dear.
