Yup. I said it and I know it’s true but I still struggle. It’s hard for me to let go of perfection and aim for progress. When I aim for perfection though, that stress carries through to my kids and husband and then it’s like a snowball of chaos and stress and then soon we are all miserable and making zero progress. Well mamas, we made it to Friday! Our first week of school is done and I feel so proud! Kenzie did so great and Nixon is still looking for her once we get home 😂 Hanging out with this dude all week has been so much fun! Sometimes I don’t have a sitter when someone books a call with me. I used to get overwhelmed when Kenzie was little but over the years I’ve learned some tricks to keep her occupied while I’m on a Zoom. ⭐️ Color - more specifically magic markers! They’ll change your life and are wall proof 😂 ⭐️ Quiet Play - blocks, The Nugget, anything that will get her thinking but doesn’t involve extreme volume. ⭐️Rest - usually on the nugget in the playroom with a movie. ⭐️ Snack time - something I know she can’t easily choke on or smash into the playroom carpet. ⭐️ Educational Game - Sesame Street is her fav! ⭐️ Flip through books - I have a few books put up that I will take down only while I’m on a call. It makes them special and new. Sometimes I know these things will only occupy her for 10 mins and I have to set up a few activities for her if I know the phone call might be longer. It just depends on her day! Also, if I don’t have help here that day she is never left in a room alone while I work! Happy Working!

Hello, Monday! I’ve missed you. Monday is my favorite day of the week because I’m a productivity junky. I like plans. I like checklists. I like action! Do you love Mondays too? Yay or nay?!
What does working from home look like? This. We went away for 4 days. I worked when I had down time or felt like it. I was able to unplug on a Thursday and Friday to spend time with my 3 favorite people! If you aren’t living a life of fulfillment and freedom we need to talk. Also ignore my annoying voice, I was at the most magical place and having a time 😂
Working from home means working from anywhere! Today I worked a little from my sister’s house while she watched the kids for me! Where is your favorite place to work outside of your house? See the real time moments caught as Bubby toots and ruins the moment 🤣
Already missing Disney but at least my office in our guest room is “disney-fied”! Getting back to work and into a routine after a long weekend is so refreshing! When I tell you we had the best weekend ever I mean we had the best weekend ever 😍 Now it’s time to get to work 💪🏼

Sometimes ya gotta stop and have a picnic! My dad snapped this while we were at my parents house having an afternoon snack! I love these moments with my babies. I remember my mom taking us for picnics as a kid and reading to us at the playground. I hope to give my children those sweet memories too 🥰
My sister took this picture today. A real & raw work from home mom moment. I had an unexpected deadline & my emotions were spinning with what’s happening in our country and mom guilt for not being fully committed to my role as the “queen”. Some days are effortlessly flawless & some days my crown is falling off and it’s Tostitos for lunch. 🤷🏼♀️ My cousin once told me, “Their worst day at home with you is still better than being with a stranger.” I am blessed to be able to keep my babies home, even if it means I get a few extra grey hairs 🤣
