Frederic Malle Bigarade Concentree Still one of my absolute favorite perfumes. The first spray is like peeling an orange and having that mist of citrus lifting into the surrounding air. The rose here is done so well as it sits between the bitter orange top and notes of hay in the base. The fragrance itself feels almost as if it opens with a "wet" citrus and rose petals floating on water to a drier base of freshly mewn hay bails which weaves in and out of the whole wear before finally selling down side by side with a fresh woody-cedar base. Feels like wearing Claude Monet's "Meules" or "Grainstacks." Ufffffff 🤯 Transitions to a slightly present rose with orange still there and then settles on orangish cedar … top to bottom extremely fresh and blissful 😍😍😍 And please dont ask about the performance and stuff … because see! For me the niche experiences are more about what olfactive experience a perfumer could create to the perfection. Unique! Realistic! Creative! Pleasant! or altogether… thats why they say that niche is not for everyone. The performance comes secondary for me or anyone who likes to explore olfactive experiences more than how long does it stay or if performance would have been that big a deal i would have had stayed with a very few scents for life. Performance is still a “good to have” sort of thing for me! But hey! I wont leave you in vain, as i said the perfume has cedar in the base you may safely spray it on top of iso e super to have it perform well for you, if performance is really that much of a question for you. Bottomline: Its something not to be missed ❤️ only if you could find it 😅

No, it’s not Rose & Cuir yet 🤗, but I am just as curious about it as everyone else. Recently this year I added #BigaradeConcentree to my collection. I always thought that I prefer the even more airy #CologneBigarade to this one, but after a few times wearing it I realised that the concentrated version is really more fun to have with. A burst of clear bitter oranges mingles with a restrained base of spicy warm and woodsy rosy notes. There is a certain and obvious similarity to Terre d’Hermès Eau Très Fraîche. Day 195 of 365... Bigarade Concentree from Frederic Malle starts with a very juicy and tart scent of bitter orange that feels like when you peel an orange and the juice is spraying out in the air from the peel. Both the bitter peel and the tart juice is very prominent here. Together with this I also get a very dry scent of hay. These two notes really are completely different to each other, but together they create a really exciting mix. Later there is some grass appearing, but it still is the bitter and tart bitter orange that is dominating. I love when citrus fragrances stays on the skin for a long time, which is a very rare thing! Here in Bigarade Concentree the bitter orange has the leading role from start to finnish and it has a good longevity on the skin, but after about 3 hours it gets very close to the skin on me.
